FAQ
(7)
Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
The best weddings at Ardoch have been ones where couples have added personal touches throughout the day. Making the wedding a reflection of you as a couple is key. Love to travel? Why not name tables after places you've been together! Have a favourite drink? Why not offer that to guests instead of a standard fizz reception!
What’s your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't worry about things you cannot control and just enjoy the day! At the very end of the day, you are married!
Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.
Unique and flexible with incredible views!
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The obvious spot for photos is our lawn with stunning views overlooking Loch Lomond. But the venue sits on 133 acres of land, so there are plenty of other spaces to explore! We have our own lochan, which is quickly becoming a fan favourite but we have a woodland, a lovely garden area and stone walls that create some pretty special shots.
What’s your favourite canapé?
There are so many to choose from but my top three are the Thai beef salad in lettuce cups, Filet of scotch beef with horseradish cream in mini Yorkshire pudding and the Mini battered cod and pea puree on potato rosti (mini fish and chips!)
What is your venue's most unique feature?
I'm not sure if it's the most unique but our incredible view overlooking Loch Lomond is not to be missed! With a backdrop like ours, very little decorating is needed!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
In only 3 years, we have created a wedding market which had previously been a completely non-existent section of our business. The best part is that we are more than just a venue. In choosing to use Ardoch for your wedding, you are part of a much bigger picture. As a not-for-profit organisation, we also provide financial grants to a wide range of registered charities through our own charitable organisation - the Ardoch Foundation. Ardoch is truly the perfect place for celebrating differently!
