- When you book Balinakill Country House for your wedding or civil ceremony you have exclusive use of the entire house in which to relax and enjoy your preparations in a leisurely manner. Balinakill is the perfect location for small intimate weddings, civil/partnership ceremonies and for larger celebrations with catering for up to 150 guests (marquee required for table seating over 50 guests). Balinakill has recently been approved and licensed by Argyll & Bute Council to hold civil ceremonies. The ceremony can take place within the house or garden, or alternatively in Clachan Church, the oldest church in Argyll still used for public worship. A marquee extends our function room for larger weddings and Clachan village offers a broad range of high quality local accommodation for additional guests. We offer a Wedding Management Service and will be happy to discuss all your requirements, menus and special requests. We offer a choice of local caterers who all work from a separate catering kitchen at the back of the house. Whatever your ideas are, please feel free to contact us and we will do our utmost to help you create exactly what you have in mind for your special day. We can arrange a variety of additional services such as bands, bag-pipers, florists, hairdressers, beauticians, photographers and children’s entertainment. Alternatively, you are welcome to make your own arrangements.
