With many beautiful features to the building and the rich history and role that the Guildhall has played within the town of Boston, Boston Guildhall is a unique venue for any wedding and is also the town museum.
The Banqueting Hall, with its high beamed ceiling and wonderful acoustics, is able to accommodate 100 guests and can be offered in a traditional forward facing seating arrangement or in a semi circle arrangement depending on your preference. We are able to increase the seating in the semi circle arrangement should your guest numbers exceed 100 people. The original tracery window at the front of the room gives the historic building a traditional feel and warmth and although we can accommodate larger wedding parties in this space, smaller wedding parties work well too in this room.
We are also able to offer the Council Chamber as our second licensed space which is a smaller room and can accommodate approximately 30 people seated. This mock Georgian room with paneling, an original fireplace and large bay windows makes for an intimate but light space.
We can accommodate a drinks reception, a buffet or a wedding breakfast to follow on from the ceremony should you wish. With exclusive use of the building our historic kitchen, with its exposed timbers and original fireplaces, is perfect to share a toast and maybe cut your wedding cake with friends and family or you may wish to take your seats in the Banqueting Hall for a more formal diner.
You are more than welcome to visit Boston Guildhall when considering venues and with a dedicated contact to offer support and access throughout your planning we look to meet your wishes and expectations for your special day.
Please be aware that we have a lift between the ground and first floor, a fully accessible unisex toilet and baby changing on site and full access for all throughout the building. There is a car park available opposite the building and further parking is available within a couple of minutes walk.
