Buckinghamshire Railway Centre Full Description
An enchanting vintage setting for your wedding! Set in the heart of beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, we can host civil ceremonies and receptions in our stunning glass-roofed venue, which forms an impressive backdrop for any wedding. The 25-acre site offers endless photographic opportunities. We can cater for up to 150 guests for a sit down meal, and we have a large, separate dance floor for the celebrations afterwards! You can even arrive at your wedding by steam train! Set in the beautiful village of Quainton, our stunning glass-roofed railway building was formerly the old Oxford railway station building, Rewley Road, which was designed by Sir Joseph Paxton who also designed Crystal Palace. Dismantled and rebuilt at our heritage site in Quainton, it makes an impressive backdrop to any wedding, vintage or otherwise. We are also licensed for civil weddings so you can hold your wedding ceremony here if you choose. For smaller weddings our Oxford Room can seat 20-30 for a more cosy feel.

My wedding was held recently at Buckingham Rail centre and it was a wonderful experience
My wedding was held recently at Buckingham Rail centre and it was a wonderful experience. The venue is quite unique, and it is a real piece of railway heritage in a pretty setting. The centre provides the ability to customise and tailor a wedding to your own taste, through recommended suppliers. A steam train took our guests on a short trip on the day on the historic railway. I would like to say a special thank you to the kind gentlemen who provided this service. It was enjoyed by all of our guests. Finally I would like to comment on the professional and helpful team from Buckingham Railway, Emma, Phil and Sarah. Thank you for your support and kindness and for helping to make our day possible.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the centre
We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the centre. Emma was fantastic to deal with from start to finish. We loved this venue as it requires very little room dressing due to all the items already in the centre. we were also lucky enough to have a steam engine on the day as well for our guests to ride on after the ceremony. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for something a little different on their special day.

Unique and beautiful venue
Our dream venue in every way! We were looking for somewhere unique, relaxed, bright and flexible and that's exactly what we got (and more!). I think every guest commented on what a stunning and fun venue it was (we took advantage of having the steam train running for guests and used the outdoor space to have garden games and space hoppers). It was great to be able to tailor the day and venue to suit us exactly. The venue can be dressed as you like but we kept things simple to show off the beauty of the venue and surroundings. We had brilliant suppliers, some from suggestion of the venue and some we found ourselves. Emma was wonderful to work with, really keen to make our dream day a reality and so accommodating when we had to rearrange twice due to the pandemic, I'm sure she must have been brilliant on the day too as it all came together like magic and we didn't have to do a thing!
