Built in 1901, Armada House has a rich history as its location on Telephone Avenue became known in 1958 after Queen Elizabeth II placed the first non-operator telephone call in the UK. This gorgeous Edwardian building has been renovated and now boasts three stunning spaces that combine modern elegance with original period features such as oak panelling, Elizabethan-style staircase, and show-stopping fireplaces, for a unique, romantic and historic ambiance.
Armada House is home to multiple breath-taking event spaces. Enter through the grand lobby and choose from the Elizabeth Suite or the Wallace Lounge on the ground floor, or the Brunel room on the first floor.
The Elizabeth Suite is the quintessential wedding space. With parquet flooring, large windows and stunning décor, this elegant, airy space is fit for a royal wedding. With a marble-topped oak bar, stage with projector, integrated sound system and AV, and Rako mood lighting, the Elizabeth Suite has everything you will need for your special day. This space has a capacity for up to 170 standing, 150 seated for ceremony, and 120 for banquet style seating.
The Wallace Lounge is a sophisticated and decadent space. This space boasts a gorgeous curved-oak, marble topped bar that can be partitioned with a floor-to-ceiling curtain for a more intimate atmosphere. The Wallace Lounge is equipped with an integrated sound system and Rako mood lighting. This space can accommodate up to 60 standing and 60 seated, ceremony or banquet style.
On the first floor you will find the gorgeous Brunel room. This space features stunning historical details such as parquet flooring, panelled oak walls, and a truly magnificent 17th century fireplace. The Observatory room is romantic, intimate, and perfect for a fairy-tale ceremony. Up to 50 guests can attend a ceremony in this beautiful, historic space.
