Full Description
Cressing Temple Barns has an outstanding historical background, dating back to as early as the iron and bronze ages, but is best known for its 13th Century Templar built barns originating in the 1200s and beautifully restored in 1987. On your wedding day we can offer you either or both of the magnificent barns, as well as the Tudor Walled Garden and our recently renovated Evening Barn for your wedding day. With exclusive use of the venue, you can choose your idyllic setting from three options to host your ceremony, including our beautiful Tudor Walled Garden, followed by the Barley Barn for your Wedding Breakfast. Reception drinks can be offered in the Walled Garden, leaving the Evening Barn for your Reception for the remainder of your day. The Evening Barn is suitable for up to 60 guests and up to 200 with the addition of a marquee.

Absolute Bridal - April - Aug 2019

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

All of our couples bring their own personal touches to the venue from lavish carpeting and filled large flowers of brightly coloured vases to neutral, delicate rustic themes, each wedding has an individual element and sticks with us for a long time!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make time for each other away from the wedding planning. Book a date night - Watch that new movie at the cinema, eat out at your favourite restaurant or take a simple picnic to the park. Just the two of you.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We have seen some amazing photos of the couple's memories used in a variety of ways - pinned to the trestles in the Walled Garden, as centrepieces on the Reception tables or as part of the table plan. These personal touches are a feature that warms both the couples hearts as they reminisce whilst creating them and for their guests sharing their journey together.
