Downham Hall is a beautiful venue in Downham, Essex. We are an ideal venue for people who want a boutique, countryside style wedding. The property has been on the site since the 16th Century with the current manifestation believed to have evolved over the last 300 years. We have spent almost three years lovingly renovating the property to the highest of standards and have incorporated 5 luxury en suite bedrooms, 3 function spaces, a luxurious wedding marquee and stunning grounds available for wedding celebrations, all surrounded by beautiful countryside views. Downham Hall is an exclusive use wedding venue and the perfect setting for a small, intimate wedding in our beautiful De Beauvoir suite or Orangery or, for a larger wedding, held within our stunning marquee in the grounds. We would be delighted to offer our venue as the perfect setting for your special day. Although we are now taking bookings well into 2024, we do still have a handful of dates available for 2022 and 2023. All of the events held at Downham Hall are always very well received and we are lucky to have lots of wonderful reviews from past clients who have become dear friends and continue to visit us for other events or to dine in our wonderful restaurant. Many guests comment on the fact that the sheer beauty and peacefulness of the venue and it’s surroundings make you feel as though you are miles from anywhere but really you are only 2 miles from a mainline station into London Liverpool Street!
