Review:
September last year we spoke to Mike and Lesley Saxon with regards to organising a pre-wedding party for our son . From beginning to end they were helpful, supportive and professional in their responses to our requests. I was most impressed by the immediate responses to our emails and all of our wishes were adhered to.
The room is a beautiful, light airy and tastefully decorated venue for an event. We had 72 people ; all were comfortably seated with plenty of space between the tables to manoeuvre yourself and the chairs are well sprung and comfortable. The tables were laid with crisp white cloths and napkins draped in an unusual manner in each place setting. The overall ambience can summed up as classy and sophisticated.
Furthermore, the food is superb! We chose a fish menu and the seared tuna was to die for! Lesley recommended certain menus and we went for the most popular - it was divine! All the salads were tasty, colourful and absolutely fresh - I think we had 6 different salads to choose from. Dressings were delicious and everything seemed to compliment each other. The portion sizes were plentiful and our guests could return for a second selection where everything was available. We opted for a buffet style where guests went one table at a time for their main course and this was seamless - it helped that the food was laid out in a spacious Garden Room allowing our guest to choose their hot food and select and serve themselves the salads. The staff did their up- most to help all our guests, especially those who were octogenarians. Desserts were plated and offered a chocolate pudding, fruit tart , ice-cream and a few berries. Once again I could not fault anything! Tea, coffee, mints were inclusive in the package too!
Thank you Lesley, Mike and all the staff at Dunham for making this event memorable for all of my family!
One last point: the sun shone the whole afternoon too! LUCKY!!!
