Durker Roods Hotel is steeped in history, being the former manor house to Sir David Brown, esteemed tractor manufacturer, 2nd world war machinery manufacturer and the engine designer for the original Aston Martin elite cars. This manor house was converted to a hotel in 1975 and has enjoyed notoriety in the area for many years.
