Cote How specialises in smaller more intimate celebrations of all kinds. Exclusive use of our historical 16th century venue also includes our wedding and party barn, four acres of grounds, with an adjacent field down to the lake shore of Rydal Water, the Bluebell woods and the River Rothay. A picturesque wooden footbridge leads to Rydal church just 200m away. There are few Lakeland venues with such a picture perfect location for your wedding or special occasion.

Your special occasion is individually designed to suit your own unique style. No two celebrations are ever the same!
Traditional Weddings - Choose form the house Fairfield room with it's oversized gilt mirror and crystal chandeliers or in the historic and rustic barn, where you have the option of having your wedding indoors or out (weather dependant).
Barn Weddings - As one of only two licensed barns in the Lake District, our 16th century barn is unique, romantic and approved for civil ceremonies. So, you can now get married under the eaves of the barn with your congregation inside, or outside with spectacular views of the surrounding fells.
Humanist Weddings - If you wish to have a humanist wedding, simple blessing or renewal of vows, we have a wonderful open lawn surrounded by stunning Lakeland views where we can set up your ceremony with live entertainment, seating and flower arch etc.
Equal Weddings - Cote How is delighted to offer marriage ceremonies to same sex couples and is one of the premier destinations for equal weddings in the Lake District. Civil partnerships are, of course, available and the choice is yours, as a same sex couple, to choose either marriage or civil partnership.
