Designed and built at great cost for a man of privilege Falcon Manor is now back to its beautiful best. Fully restored from top to bottom and given a whole new lease of life. The reception rooms are simply delightful and the bedrooms beyond compare. We can accommodate up to 100 guests for the wedding breakfast and we are licensed for civil ceremonies. The gardens and grounds are truly lovely too.
The Dream Wedding package has been hugely popular since we introduced it in 2007. Your Dream Wedding package at James’ Places includes just about everything you need to have the most magical day.
Our package price covers all the essentials from chairs and covers to candles and candelabras, the arrival drinks and of course the main event, the Wedding Breakfast. The disco and late night nibbles are in there too!
We haven’t gone for a one size fits all approach, or delivering down to a price. Instead, we would like to think that we have simply made it easier for you, for your families and for us too.
The Dream Wedding package is by no means all that we can do, but it does give you a chance to begin putting a budget together, to mix and match ideas and piece by piece create the wedding day of your dreams.

What’s your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have a plan. Add approx timescales so that you know how much there is to do and who is doing what.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Something that speaks volumes about the couples as individuals, which have then been brought together for their day. One wedding I went to the groom was into Formula One (he used to be a Race Driver when he was younger) and each table was named after a Race Car – and you know that the bride has compromised letting him do this! It’s the little personal touches.
Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.
Dramatic, Unique, Romantic, Beautiful, Fabulous
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
On the steps to the bowling green with the building as a backdrop
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
What’s your favourite canapé?
Who can have a favourite! The joy of canapes is in variety of tastes and surprises these little morsels deliver. But i find they are always best when served with fizz.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
It might not be classed as a treat by some but bacon butties at midnight after an evening of partying are hard to beat.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The Rafters, our fabulous honeymoon suite.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The Rafters Bridal Suite, i love showing people the room for the first time they never fail to be impressed.
