At Ellingham we have the venue hire and then food/drink on top, but the venue hire is inclusive of the following; Exclusive use of the Hall and grounds, including all 18 beautiful presented bedrooms in the main hall for a two-night wedding celebration (33 guests) | Express check-in from 4pm the night prior to your wedding
 | Evening food for Hall guests and a fully staffed bar the night prior to the wedding | Grab and go breakfast for all guests on the morning of the wedding | Dedicated time to allow you to decorate the venue the day prior to your wedding | Private access to our underground games room
 | Late morning check-out at 11am on day of departure
 | An experienced and award-winning wedding events team to help coordinate your day Many of our couples do choose to sub-let their rooms to family and friends which helps towards to cost of venue hire and they usually charge from £100-£250 for the two-night stay which would give you potentially £1,700 - £4,250 back on your venue hire. Ellingham hall is a privately owned venue set in eight stunning acres of Northumbrian countryside. The Estate includes the elegant country house with 17 bedrooms, seven luxury cottages and extensive gardens for a unique and entirely exclusive two-night wedding experience to remember. The venue excels with its period charm interwoven with modern day luxury. From high ceilings and underground games rooms, to architectural periodic features and a show stopping staircase - the perfect choice for a seriously wow-factor wedding with all the boutique hotel details. With luscious lawns, peaceful streams, mini waterfalls and enchanted Woodlands, Ellingham has no shortage of breathtakingly beautiful outdoor spaces. To help you maximise the grounds on your big day, the venue also offers the use of rooftop terraces, a drinks reception patio, outdoor ceremonies and our much loved adventure treehouses. With Hall hire sleeping 32 people, or Estate hire sleeping 68 guests, couples are given an opportunity to enjoy time with their nearest and dearest both on the big day and the night before. Everything was perfect!
e did a 3 night stay Thursday evening, the wedding Friday, chill out and catching up with friends and family Saturday, checking out Sunday morning. I can honestly say it was the best weekend of our lives. Everything was perfect.

Thanks to Wendy and her amazing team at Ellingham Hall we had a fantastic double wedding on the 16th November 2019. From the very first time we all met the team in 2018 to the day of the wedding everything was perfect and more the we hoped for. What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Get yourselves a wedding email! Not just to help with regards to planning in general but you can get all your RSVP's to go there and also all your information from suppliers - often wedding inbox's can be full and it's easy for wedding information to get lost! It's also easier to monitor your junk folder from a dedicated wedding email address and as many emails from venues or suppliers will jump in there for the first time.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

We have so many at the venue both in and out, but our couples' favourites are in front of our window - it's an original feature for the venue dating back from teh 1800's and both couples and guests use it as a backdrop all the time (it's definitely our signature). For the staff, we love when couples take a stroll down through the woodlands and have pictures by our waterfalls!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We've hosted quite a few from presenters to England cricket stars and we have a big wedding in 2020 with lots of guests with familiar guests!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

We're very well known in the North East for our iconic window located on the first floor mezzanine in the Chapel, that and our beautiful staircase which photographs perfectly as couples walk down heading towards the aisle

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our customer service to couples and guests. We pride ourselves in investing in our team to make sure we have only the best set of people to look after you on your journey with us. Our General Manager has over ten years experience with the venue, as does our Wedding and Events Manager, meaning you're in very capable hands. Our team have won awards as a whole and also in their own rights. Most recently our Head of Weddings and Events, Wendy Sproul won Wedding Coordinator of the Year in 2018 at the North East Wedding Awards.
