Full Description
Forrester Park is a traditional style country house based around a 16th century barn and set in beautiful countryside. We are renowned for our friendly service and flexible attitude. All our wedding couples comment on the friendliness of our staff and our relaxed atmosphere; nothing is too much trouble. We are equally suitable for large or intimate weddings and guests can use any combination of areas within the house, as well as the garden and grounds. There is no minimum number and we do not ask you to spend a certain amount. We offer a top quality venue at a reasonable price - our charges include linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware and staff so there are no ‘hidden extras’. We can arrange a disco etc or you are welcome to bring your own. Children are welcome. Our Wedding Co-ordinator can discuss how you would like your day to progress, assist with menu choices and additional wedding services if required and generally be a guiding hand to make the planning as stress-free as possible. Choose a package which includes arrival drinks, three-course wedding breakfast with wine and an evening buffet or select what you want from our extensive selection of dishes which also include buffet and barbecue menus. Forrester Park’s new Millennium Lawn outdoor ceremony area is set in its own ‘secret garden’. The Lawn offers beautiful views over the golf course and surrounding countryside while providing a secluded space for you to celebrate your marriage vows. The rural setting makes a beautiful backdrop for photographs, and you are free to treat the area as a ‘blank canvas’ to decorate to your own taste. The Millennium Lawn can seat up to 150 for the ceremony and you may also wish to make use of our terrace and garden for a celebration drinks reception after the ceremony. Please contact us for details of our last-minute offers for 2018

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

1. ENJOY THE PLANNING PROCESS Try to take pleasure in each aspect of organising your day, rather than seeing it as something stressful. Take it step by step – lists are wonderful things, and I have attached one here to get you started. 2. HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR CHOSEN PROVIDERS Once you have selected a supplier or venue, remember that they are the experts, and have faith in their abilities. Don’t feel you have to try and duplicate their efforts. 3. MAKE USE OF YOUR WEDDING VENUE’S KNOWLEDGE AND CONTACTS Your chosen venue will almost certainly have many years’ experience of running weddings and celebrations. They should have a list of trusted suppliers which they will be happy to share with you. And they will not mind how many questions you ask! 4. MAKE YOUR WEDDING APPOINTMENTS FUN Planning your menus, tasting cake, choosing outfits, visiting venues, talking to florists and the like don’t have to be all business – they can be enjoyable too. 5. DELEGATE You may want someone else to organise part of your day. Friends and family members are usually delighted to be asked to be involved in your celebration – and some are natural organisers! 6. YOUR WEDDING IS A CELEBRATION As the day approaches, remember that your guests are coming to rejoice in your marriage and to wish you well. They will appreciate whatever you offer them so try not to lose sleep about the arrangements. 7. DO WHAT YOU ENJOY THE MOST There will be some things you love doing and others not so much. Don’t give the one thing you have been dreaming about to someone else; keep the best bits for yourself. After all, it’s YOUR day!
