Fyvie Castle Full Description

Steeped in history, myth and legend, the castle is renowned for its lavish interiors, intricate ceilings and world-famous art collections, and is a fairy-tale setting for civil, religious and humanist wedding ceremonies. Adorned with masterpieces by Raeburn, Gainsborough and Batoni, the castle's exquisite Gallery and interconnecting Drawing Room provide a glorious setting for drinks receptions, ceremonies and dinners. From the castle, a short stroll through the magnificent grounds leads to the Racquets Court, a glass-roofed pavilion with a sprung dance floor, perfect for ceilidhs and evening receptions. For larger wedding receptions, a weighted marquee can be erected on the South Lawn, with the castle providing a spectacular backdrop for wedding photography. The 8 bedroom Preston Tower within the castle offers luxury self-catering for up to 16 guests.

The first day I visited Fyvie it was not open to the public, but Rhona still received me with the professionalism and generosity that characterized her. She took me to the Music Room and before entering, she asked me: "Are you ready?" As soon as I walked in and looked up, I knew this was the place, I was meant to be married in that room at Fyvie Castle. We had both the ceremony and the reception at the castle and Rhona was by my side to design every last detail. If you are looking for a magical setting for your wedding, I highly recommend speaking to Rhona at Fyvie Castle.

Best day made super relaxed

My husband and I got married dat Fyvie Castle in February 2022. We had booked out wedding in November 2020 and Rhona kept in touch with us while we were making our plans. She was absolutely amazing and helped our day be stress free. She met with me on a few occasions and kept in touch by text and email. She was very accommodating and made sure she knew what was happening and when so she was able to be in charge on the day and I didn't have to worry about anything. All the staff were attentive but not at all pushy and helped to create a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I can't recommend Fyvie Castle enough. We had the best day ever!!
