In terms of Wedding offerings, we are not solely a Wedding venue, therefore we do not have a brochure per se. We tailor each event to the particular client’s requirements with the facilities we can manage, resulting in every Wedding being unique.
In terms of your Wedding meal, we can seat up to 68 guests for a sit-down meal in our dining room. If your numbers are between 68 – 100 we can cater in a buffet style within the Hall. If you have more than 68 people for a formal sit-down meal, you would require a marquee, and there are a number of good marquee companies locally.
We provide the catering and would be happy to quote you for a variety of options. Alternatively, you can entirely self-cater among your group. All alcohol is down to the client to supply – we are happy to serve it for you and we do not charge corkage.
The Oak Hall makes a great venue for a party and dancing. Our in house music system is more than adequate to supply a party. You would have to supply your own CD’s/laptop/iPod/iPad. Alternatively, you can have live music or a DJ. We also know a professional local piano player who can be hired to play for you during pre-dinner drinks and canapés.
We rent the Hall sleeping up to 37 guests, and the Wing House sleeping up to 11 guests (if required), as a package for a Wedding weekend - Friday to Monday, with all the accommodation included (note - if you do not use the rooms, it does not reduce the venue hire price). There is a sleeping plan available upon request to determine suitability.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
I would have to say all of them! The relationship we get to build with our bride and grooms is immensely rewarding, as we end up being entirely in-sync with the wedding planning and running of the day, so really we feel a part of all the celebrations.

Visit as many venues as possible, and meet all the people who will be a part of your day to ensure both a location and personality fit.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Some of the table plans I've seen are absolutely fantastic! We also recently had a wedding guest book recently, that included multicoloured ink pads for guests to take their finger prints and place them on their wedding tree as the leaves, simple, but really beautiful.

There are so many! My favourite would have to be by the fishing lake in the summer.

Smoked Duck Crostini with Roasted Garlic & Blackberry Puree.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
A fish finger sandwich!

Our 'Confessional Bathroom' Toilet - I've not seen one like it in use before.
