Full Description
- We can cater for small, intimate ceremonies in our guest lounge accommodating up to 25 people, up to 60 in our Dutch barn, or up to 250 guests in our stock barn, depending on the type of wedding you want. Our large stock barn is available for larger ceremonies, where you could then hold the entire event, making it all under one roof, or relocate to a marquee or tipi for the reception, either on our field or near the campsite – after the ceremony. The choice is yours. We offer our whole venue for a 3 night weekend - so plenty of time to get the venue ready, but also to spend quality time with friends and family - which makes for some fab memories. If you were thinking about having your wedding somewhere rural and picturesque, that’s connected to nature and easily adaptable for your ideas, then Gwaenynog could be the perfect place for you… Want somewhere to have the ceremony and reception together in a relaxed environment, and where you can have the added benefit of accommodating all your friends? And maybe for the whole weekend? Or perhaps a festival wedding theme? We can offer tipi’s or other unusual tents rather than just marquees, let your imagination (and budget) help you decide. You don't need a tipi or marquee, as our barn is big enough to accommodate everything... Just call to discuss and we can come up with a plan… We can offer a variety of styles from 3 course dinners, hot or cold buffet style or perhaps something more rustic with a hog roast, pulled pork or even a BBQ or street food style, it all depends on what you want. Our location is adaptable. We have some great suppliers, but if you want to plan your own thing, that's fine too. We're flexible...

FAQ

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We've had a few now, but 2 in a row in 2016 were fab. One had rain all day - downside of Wales/UK - but we managed everything to work around it and decided they were our most romantic couple. The other had the most dancing guests we'd ever seen! Every single wedding has been fab, and always different!
What’s your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Start planning early and delegate, delegate, delegate - it does save on the stress!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A large canvas that every one of the guests drew or wrote on, instead of a guest book - which would go on the wall at the home of the bride & groom. It looked fab, like modern art!
Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.
Rustic, relaxed, value, scenic, natural
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
In our garden - with views to the mountains & hills
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Everyone's special who comes here!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Ooh - tough one. Anything with salmon maybe
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Crumpets or marshmallows over the fire pits.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
You can do everything here - there's plenty of space and grounds to spread out and have lots of fun, creating beautiful memories.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
That we did it at all - lots of friends thought we were brave moving over 200 miles to relocate to Wales!
