The village of Hackness nestles under the brow of hills forming the Derwent valley and the local church can trace its story back to 680AD.
Our stunning wedding pavilion is surrounded by natural beauty and sits on the island, across the lake, making it the perfect setting for taking your vows.
Throughout your planning and preparations, our dedicated wedding co-ordinator who has a wealth of experience will be with you every step of the way. We only hold one wedding per day at Hackness Grange, so you can enjoy personal and dedicated service.
You have the option of celebrating your wedding breakfast in our Johnstone Suite, which is able to cater for up to 150 guests for formal dining and upwards of 200 for the evening celebrations. Or if you prefer, you can have a smaller more intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast in our Derwent Restaurant. We are the only venue in the North Yorkshire County Council area who are licensed to have outdoor weddings 12 months of the year on the pavilion as well as being licensed to hold civil ceremonies in both our Johnstone Suite and Derwent Restaurant.
All our rooms have en-suite facilities and picturesque views of the gardens, lake and Yorkshire countryside. Whilst you enjoy an evening in our Bridal Suite, your wedding party has the choice of staying in one of our traditionally decorated rooms in the main house, or one of our contemporary decorated courtyard rooms, next to the old stables.
