We got married at Hall Farm on a beautiful day in November '23. The whole experience from start to finish was brilliant.
We decided to choose Hall Farm for our wedding as it is an intimate venue, and perfect for the number of guests we wanted. This combined with beautiful surrounding and having everything in one place ticked all the boxes we had for a venue. It also helped that as a venue Hall Farm was very competitively priced.
From the moment we chose Hall Farm, the communication was brilliant. As a team, they clearly know what they are doing. So many parts of the organisation were just taken care of, which made the experience much less stressful compared to those of some of our contemporaries. They were always happy to discuss details, and were happy to have meetings either in person or via video calls which made life much easier for us, as we were not local. There were so many options for food that it took us weeks to narrow down the choices.
We were lucky enough that they did not have an event the day before, which meant that we could stay in the hotel and have dinner in the restaurant with our families the night before which was the perfect way to spend the evening. Even if you don't choose Hall Farm as a venue, it is worth visiting their restaurant as the food is incredible.
The organisation on the day was exceptional. Everything ran like clockwork. The staff were excellent (especially Alan). Waking up already at the venue took a lot of the stress out of the day, and having an amazing breakfast was a great way to start the day. The hotel rooms are a great size for getting ready, so that was really easy, and the venue looked spectacular.
We were fortunate in having the only day with good weather in the entire month of November and this really played well with the venue. The large outside courtyard work well for people gathering and talking. The lake next door was beautiful too. The section where you get married is lovely, and they allow you to have candles which was really atmospheric.
The food on the day was great, and the wine was really good too. The cash bar was also very reasonably priced.
Finally, the night was made by the DJ Oliver. He took the roughly 30 songs we suggested and came up with an incredible playlist which meant that everyone was dancing all night. For him to be their resident DJ, and included in the price, is fantastic.
All in all, an excellent venue we couldn't recommend more! Thanks to all the team!.
