A variety of dedicated event spaces seamlessly blend the grandeur of Hotel Café Royal, and its Grade II listed architecture, with modern design and contemporary features – creating the perfect backdrop for any style of wedding. The Pompadour Ballroom, our ornately gilded and beautifully restored ballroom, is the largest and most decadent event space. A series of fluted Corinthian pilasters and mirrored panels with gilded frames are accented further by a rich decorative ceiling which elaborately depicts scenes of love. Large double doors lead on to a pillared outdoor terrace with views up and down the sweep of Regent Street. In contrast, a selection of a varying sized reception rooms feel modern and airy with large windows offering views across central London. These can be styled and personalised in order for you to add your exacting touches and special signature. In its reincarnation this iconic London landmark now features 160 contemporary guestrooms, including 49 suites and six signature suites. Continuing its celebrated legacy, Hotel Café Royal hotel offers a selection of restaurants and bars for guests to enjoy and to complete the full experience, the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre offers a large lap pool, Watsu pool, sauna and Hammam/steam room and features a range of signature treatments which marry innovative Western practices with ancient Eastern tradition Professional wedding planners consult closely with you on every last detail, from flowers and entertainment to seating arrangements, hair, make-up and menus. What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Andrea: Follow your heart for every single aspect of your special day without worrying about what different couple's have done for their weddings. This is your special day and you have to make it uniquely yours. Danielle: Consider booking in a hotel rather than a venue as you can use the facilities to your advantage, such as bedrooms for your guests, use of spa facilities, a wedding breakfast the following morning. This way you can keep everything in one place and have as minimal stress on your special day/few days as possible.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Andrea: Incorporating a welcome sign that reflects the cultures of the couple, hand-drawn images of the venue and the guest journey during the wedding day. Danielle: The table place cards being hand-written by the bride and groom with a unique memory they have with each guest written on them - this was really thoughtful and touching for the guests.

Where’s the best photo spot at Hotel Cafe Royal?

Andrea: The Dome Penthouse, with it's incredible views of London from Big Ben to The Shard. Danielle: The staircase on the 7th floor is a beautiful location for a Bride and Groom, with gorgeous golden banisters originating back to 1865.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Hotel Cafe Royal?

What’s your favourite canapé?

Andrea: Mini Jacket Potatoes, Ratatouille, Basil Danielle: all of them are delicious, but my favourite cold canape is the Vegetable Rice Cake with Vegan Wasabi Emulsion, and my favourite warm canape is the Thai Fish Cake with Peanut Puree.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Andrea: Brioche Bread and Butter Pudding, Crème Anglaise Danielle: Chocolate Cake

What is Hotel Cafe Royal most unique feature?

Andrea: Decorative ceiling in Ballroom Danielle: The covered and heated private terrace attached to the ballroom which can be used all year round. It's a real hidden gem!
