A beautiful venue, with amazing owners
We had our wedding reception at Lanwades Hall in September 2019. The venue was perfect in every way. We utilised the gardens for a canapé reception and lovely photos in and around the house. Our wedding breakfast was in the great hall which made for an amazing setting. The venue also benefitted from bedrooms for our close family and a stunning bridal suite. Alex and Elvis the owners were extremely helpful and accommodating leading up to and on the wedding day. We will hold Lanwades Hall fondly in our hearts for years to come.

Couldn’t dream of getting married at a more perfect venue!
Funnily enough we found this venue by passing and searching it on google the second we got home! Within a week myself & my now husband had viewed it and instantly fell in love!! Not only with the venue but the staff also. Being told by my dad that we couldn’t possibly book the first and only venue we had viewed, myself and my dad viewed the following day... within half an hour of my dad viewing, we had paid our deposit and booked our wedding date. The building is just phenomenal & romantic and the grounds are beautiful! The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. Elvis and Alex remained in contact the whole year from booking to our wedding date. On the day everything was how we asked for and imagined. Nothing was too much trouble!! We had the bridal suite and the apartment booked for family/friends which was stunning, clean and comfortable. Lanwades Hall was the only venue we viewed and nothing would have changed our minds!! We had no need or desire to view anywhere else. Both of us knew from the minute we arrived to our first viewing!

The perfect country wedding
From the moment we entered the gates and started down the winding, stoney drive we were in love. This venue ticked all our boxes and the day delivered even more than expected. The team at Lanwades are fantastic - Alex, Elvis, Mason know what they're doing and help to ensure you have a perfect day. We were so lucky with the weather and had games laid out in the garden, along with ice cream and gin and tonics from the Whites Catering company which I also highly recommend. The venue itself is so beautiful, and every time I came back I forgot how big it was. Having lots of different rooms really suited our party and we made use of all the spaces. The bridal suite and accommodation is an added extra, not having to travel after the most tiring day of our lives was a huge plus. I wasn't able to get ready here but I would strong encourage anyone whose ceremony is here or nearby to do so!

The best day ever in the perfect location!
This was the first wedding venue that my husband and I viewed and we decided straight away that it was perfect for us! We got married in October and getting married in the autumn meant that we could enjoy all the lovely colours of the fabulous grounds and gardens whilst having our reception drinks and canapes, and our photos were amazing! There is plenty of space to utilise for different parts of the wedding which meant that everything flowed really well and no one was standing around waiting for the next bit to begin. One of my bridesmaids said it was the most organised wedding she'd ever been to! That was down to the wonderful Elvis and Alex, who were so nice and helpful every step of the way. We went to see the venue a few times before the actual wedding and they were more then happy to have us and answer all out questions everytime. Being able to book the venue from the day before also made setting up so much less stressful and allowed us to enjoy the preparations too. The beautiful accommodation made getting ready for myself and my bridal party of 9 fun, easy and relaxing and the bridal suite is stunning for your wedding night! The location is also brilliant if you live in London and want a country type wedding but don't want your guests to have to travel too far. Can't recommend Lanwades Hall enough, it ticked every box for us.

Hidden Gem
Well, I’m not quite sure where to start. My fiancé and I had been searching for 2 years for a wedding venue, always finding something we couldn’t compromise on with other venues. Lanwades randomly came on our radar out the blue and I’m so glad it did. We arranged a viewing with Elvis who showed us around and within seconds just knew this was our wedding venue. Despite at the time the accommodation wasn’t able to be viewed it didn’t deter us in booking up. We chose a date which gave us 1 year to get planning. Both Elvis and Alex from start to finish were always on hand with any queries or panics we had prior to the wedding. We decided to take the option of the full weekend hire which made life so much easier and made our wedding an extended celebration. With family all arriving on the Friday, taking our time to set up allowing for time the night before to relax and enjoy the venue. We really couldn’t rate this venue enough which is only as amazing as it is by Elvis and Alex. If you want a stunning intimate yet grand venue look no further. Years on we still have friends and family commenting how it was the best wedding they had been to and the venue was simply wonderful. Thank you again Elvis and Alex for helping Stuart and I plan our wedding which was beyond what we could have ever wished for

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

It can seem daunting at the start with so many choices to make. Just make one decision at a time and it will all fall into place. If you are stuck or unsure you can always ask us for advice.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Some hand made paper flowers making full bouquets and mantelpiece displays were truly impressive. Personalised luggage tags were an excellent favour, as were mini potted plants.

Intimate, Personal, Elegant, Friendly, Beautiful.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Maybe in the meadow in the summer with the wild flowers and the sound of crickets.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

The Hall has historical and more recent links to royalty. Edward VII stayed here when we attended the races at Newmarket.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Anything with duck or goat's cheese!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

You'll find me at the cheese board.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The Sunken Garden is completely walled and accessed down stone steps. The beds are full of beautiful and vibrant coloured flowers and the lavender attracts countless butterflies.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

The Wedding Suite always gets a wow when we show it- I always leave it for last. I love the mix of the original Edwardian elegance and charm with contemporary styles and mod-cons.
