London Shenley Club provides a unique and attractive year round location for the perfect wedding. Our grounds set in the idyllic Hertfordshire countryside offer a stunning backdrop against which to capture beautiful memories of a very special day. London Shenley Club is a versatile venue and thus can host the most intimate wedding for your nearest and dearest or large receptions. Whichever the size of party, you can be assured of a magical and memorable occasion. Shenley have two different marquees that we use at different times of year. From May – September the main space available is our traditional summer marquee, comfortably this can seat between 80 – 180 guests and many more reception style. From October – April our heated winter marquee is up, this marquee is more intimate and therefore can seat between 50 – 120 guests comfortably and many more reception style. Hire of the venue includes the marquee as well as the cricket pavilion long room which can be used as an initial drinks reception area. Also we are licensed to hold ceremonies for up to 100 guests either in our long room or outside on the patio during the summer. Our dedicated team of staff will do everything to ensure your wedding day is a great success. All you have to do is let us know what would make your wedding or celebration perfect and we'll help you to create it.

Excellent Day, Excellent Venue!
We had our wedding at Shenley in Feb 2020. The day was fantastic and helped so much by having Lucy and the team at Shenley help construct and design a wonderful day! The whole staff throughout the day were friendly and welcoming, the food was brilliant and the help and guidance throughout the day was just the right level. Would highly recommend, we chose the "Ultimate Package" and was not disappointed, their decoration team at "Dress it Yourself" were excellent and very flexible. Thank you Shenley!

Best Wedding EVER
We had our wedding here last year and it was perfect. Lucy couldn’t do more for us throughout the planning process and on the day. It’s all in for fees, all in one place, lots of choice in options etc. Just took all the stress out of it and allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our day. Everyone commented on what a brilliant wedding it was. We wanted a relaxed informal affair and the bbq option was perfect for us. The late night giant cheese and meat board was ideal too!! We had our ceremony and drinks outside then the reception in the marquee. It was just great. All we had to do ourselves were our outfits and cake. They literally had it all covered!! Too hot to handle !!
After cancelling our previous wedding venue the search for the Summer marquee began . We arranged to see Lucy the wedding coordinator and as soon as we saw the venue we were hooked . From the stunning brand new marquee twinkling with fairy lights To the pretty quintessential Cricket grounds . We were looking for a Sunday wedding which coincidentally fell on the same day as the World Cup final The boys were frantically calling to check we would be showing the final and Lucy put our minds at rest by assuring us a screen could be put up if need be . Fortunately or unfortunately for football fans England didn’t get through so all was running smoothly .We worried about the weather as our service was being held outside and we prayed for sunshine Well we got it ! It was the hottest day of the year over 30 degrees ! Fans were put in the marquee and luckily the outside space was so pretty with plenty of seating and tables that we could continue our celebrations outside . The food was amazing and everyone commented on the giant cheese/meat /fish boards that were brought out for evening guests . Although it was still hot our friends and family all joined us in the dance area with it’s blacked out ceiling covered in twinkling lights it really was magical. The staff were amazing very chilled out and everything ran perfectly down to bar staff and coordinators . It was the loveliest wedding day the second for both my husband and I but certainly wasn’t a day we would ever forget . .

Nearly perfect
The wedding was amazing and the venue was lovely and have no regrets at all booking with them however there were a few things that I felt made the experience tainted. They were very accommodating all the way up until the day we set up. During set up, there was no staff members to be seen, they were in meetings all day so we didn't know what time we could finish, what we were allowed to put where etc. Eventually they came to ask if we needed help at 4.55pm and when I asked how long we had left she said 5 minutes. Her coat was on and ready to go and even drove away from the venue before we had got into our cars. This meant the final touches were less than perfect and I went away feeling rushed and stressed that we'd forgotten something. Then, on the day, you could hear staff members talking during our ceremony which we had taped, luckily I was so nervous that I didn't notice however the guests and my husband did. We had asked all along for our reception to start at 6.30 instead of 7pm but no-one informed the resident DJ which meant guests arrived without the DJ set up. We were also advised that another event had been booked the next day so we either had to clear out all the decorations that night or come back at 9am the next morning... So at the end of the night, all of our family had to chip in to get as much of the decorations together into their storage room so myself and the groom could come back the next morning to collect. If you are creative and wish to do your own decorations then this was not a good scenario, I would recommend having it decorated by an external company so you don't have to worry about it at the end of your own wedding. Apart from all of that however, the food was lovely, the venue looked amazing, the rest of the staff were very accommodating and prompt with everything and did help up clear away into the storage room, and we did have a lovely day that makes me smile when I think about it. I was a really laid back bride but I can imagine anyone else who wants everything to be spot on might have struggled.

Best day of our lives
We got married at Shenley in October 18’ we had the ceremony in the long room and reception in the winter marquee. We opted for a buffet Hog Roast which was absolutely amazing, many of our guests have told us it was the best wedding breakfast they have ever had! Every aspect was perfect the team listened to our every want and our day went so smoothly and beautifully I wouldn’t of done it any other way! It was the most amazing venue I could of ever wished for! Can’t wait to see our professional photos taken on the incredible grounds!

Simply the best venue!
We got married here on 21/10/18 and it was such an amazing day. From the planning and organising to the actual wedding itself nothing was ever any trouble. The venue is beautiful.
