Mount Stuart

We had our wedding at Mount Stuart in July this year. It was more than we could have ever dreamed of. Can't think of a more magical place to tie the knot. Everything was perfect from start to finish and the MS Team couldn't have done more for us. Both ourselves and our guests were made to feel so welcome. This place really does become your own home for the duration of the wedding celebrations. Would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful house at least once in your lifetime.

"Mount Stuart is the wedding venue dreams are made of. Upon first visiting Mount Stuart during January 2019, we fell in love with it at first sight. When we got engaged in 2020, there was only one venue which truly stood out to us and we were so happy to know it was available for our chosen date in 2021. Unfortunately, with Covid, we had to move it to 2022. Both during the planning stages and on our wedding day itself, the Mount Stuart team were a pleasure to work with and so professional. A special thanks to Kate Martin, who truly went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. Kate accommodated our every need, had a solutions oriented approach and did it all with a smile - she is a superstar! A mention also to Jim (our master of ceremonies), whose energy and personality added so much to our guests' enjoyment on the day. Finally, a huge thank you to the wider Mount Stuart team, from the tour guides, through to the front of house staff - every interaction with you was an absolute pleasure and you made our day so special. Mount Stuart is an enchanting place and we can't wait to visit again.”

We got married the weekend of the bad snow at the start of March 2018. Ricky who was dealing with our wedding was very helpful and always available when I needed any questions answered or suggestions. On the day of the wedding he had called all of our suppliers to make sure they would all make it over for our ceremony. Our day went smoothly and amazingly. The venue is the most amazing place, especially in the snow. I can't thank Ricky enough for his support and help throughout our planning. x x x

I was a sucker for a fairy tale when I was a child (granted, perhaps more the original Hans Christian Anderson and Brothers Grimm type, but still) and I’m blaming that for both my continuing love of books and my love of weddings. After all, what can better epitomise ‘and they lived happily ever after’ than a wedding day? Today’s wedding has more than a touch of the fairytale to it – part of it is the beautiful gown, part the incredible chapel where the ceremony took place and part the romantic, story-book feel of the photographs, by The Gibsons. Aleisha and Richard married on the 26 August 2017 at the stunning Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute, Scotland. Chosen for its beautiful marble chapel and reception room, it offered their guests and Aleisha’s Scottish roots the venue which brought together all the elements for a fantastic wedding day.
