Travel Notes

Turn off at Dishforth onto A168 (J49) towards Thirsk, after approx. 9 miles leave the A168 - signed A170 and A19 York. At the roundabout take the A19 South towards York, around 3 miles South of Thirsk, turn off the A19 for Coxwold – you should see a brown signpost for Byland Abbey. On entering the village of Coxwold continue straight through the village past the tearoom, around a sharp bend you should then see a lake to your left and the entrance to Newburgh Priory will then appear a few hundred yards up on the left hand side.
