Vines were first planted at Nutbourne in 1980 by one of the early pioneers of wine grape growing in this country. Since 1991 it has been owned and managed by the Gladwin family and since then the Vineyard has developed and expanded as English Wines have come of age. Nutbourne is now considered one of the premier wine producers in the South East, offering a range of estate grown still and sparkling wines which can compete anywhere in the World.
The beautifully decorated Raj Tent seats up to 60 guests and opens onto a wonderful deck with stunning views over the vines.
The timber built wine lodge (seats up to 50) nestles within the vines and adjacent is an old windmill, candle lit at night with a lovely chill out area and 360 degree balcony. Other features include open outdoor fires, tractor drawn carriage for guests arrival, vineyard and/or winery tours.
