The Cyder Barn with its gigantic oak cider press and cruck trusses is a uniquely flexible and intimate setting for up to 120 guests with the spectacular Pole Barn next door, completed in 2020. We specialise in whole weekend weddings here at Owlpen, or three days midweek. No rush, no stress, and lots of time to relax with your friends and family. Have a barbecue, enjoy wild swimming, indulge in luxury dining, or go for a long walk. It's up to you! The manor gardens are an incomparably romantic setting for larger weddings for up to 200 guests in a marquee. With their centuries-old clipped topiary and box parterres, they provide staggeringly beautiful views across to Owlpen Manor and Holy Cross church, a truly unique spot for your special occasion. Civil ceremonies and partnerships are held in the Great Hall of the Manor House or the Cyder Barn. These were licensed as Approved Premises under the Marriages and Civil Partnership Acts in 2015.

The best venue and team
Working with the Owlpen team was an absolute delight from the beginning to end. Bella was with us on the day itself along with Tonya to make sure everything ran smoothly and they were just fantastic at their jobs. All of our guests commented on how amazing the venue is and how friendly the staff were, and with the weather being on our side, we were able to enjoy the whole place with an outdoor ceremony to kick things off. We have been getting endless messages from our guests to say it was the best wedding they’d ever been to and we couldn’t have made such an awesome celebration happen without the owlpen team and their venue. Thank you so much Bella, Hugo, Tonya, Theo and the rest of the team, you’re all amazing ❤️

Absolutely magical
I honestly don’t know where to start with writing a review for Owlpen, I feel emotional even trying. Start to finish, the team at Owlpen were the most well organised and professional team you could hope to work with, whilst somehow managing to also be the most friendly, kind, good humoured and accommodating people you could meet. There is a real family feel when working with the team and they have gone above and beyond, whether it be allowing countless visits, responding quickly and informatively to my barrage of emails for the last 1.5 years, to looking after us so well on the wedding day. So many of our guests commented on how well organised the day was, and that was down to the well oiled machine that is the Owlpen staff! The place itself is a piece of magic that it really takes seeing in person to appreciate. Set in a Cotswold valley, there is a real sense of intimate privacy whilst also projecting a vast feeling that comes from having the full run of the place; there isn’t anything like looking down on the beautiful gardens filled with your friends and family bustling around in their finery, that is an image that will stay with me forever. Being able to have a portion of our guests stay the night before and the night of was incredibly unique, and again, the team went well out of their way to accommodate for every last detail. I could never of dreamed that we could have our friends swimming in a lake with a picnic on the bank the day before our wedding, and have a house dedicated to after party fun around a firepit. I’ll never be able to thank Owlpen enough for giving us the best day of our lives.

If we could have put 0 stars we would have...
If we could have put 0 stars we would have... We booked our wedding for September 2023 in January 2022. After 6 months of making arrangements for our wedding day (including paying deposits for numerous suppliers) we received an email saying they had double booked our wedding day and we could no longer get married on that date. There was no other couple booked in their written diary at the time of booking and even so took 6 months to realise. To reference a software issue is even more ridiculous. Not only were we shocked to receive such news, but especially via email! After calling for clarification, we were met with an arrogant response with no accountability for their incompetence. Rather than being supportive it was implied that we were at fault for risking our deposits if we had not yet secured wedding insurance. They offered us other dates however gave incorrect dates in their email. After offering us one alternative date in summer 2023 at a September rate once pressed (no other compensation), we decided we would be better off finding an alternative venue. We would advise any couple getting married to steer clear of Owlpen. Our experience with them has been extremely stressful and disappointing.
Response from the venue
We are deeply sorry that Lucy was not entirely satisfied with his experience at Owlpen. Sadly a fatal flaw in our booking software, which has now been rectified, brought about this terrible situation. We do not feel that the version of events outlined above aligns with the way that we would explain it, but we do accept that Lucy was aggrieved and upset, and absolutely entitled to outline his recollections in public. We have issued a profuse apology to the clients both verbally and in writing.

The best
We are getting married at Owlpen Manor this spring, and we can't wait! So far everything has been amazing and we've really made friends wit the planners there. We feel like they actually care, which we didn't find elsewhere when we were searching for venues. I know we haven't been married yet so I can't review the wedding itself, but I'm getting really excited now so I couldn't resist posting how great everything has been so far. Not long now!

Magical wedding venue
Owlpen Manor Estate is a charming place which we instantly fell in love. We've had the most incredible wedding weekend there. Our guests commented how beautiful and unique the venue was. We can't thank Bella, Hugo and Raoul with his team enough for their help, kindness and support. Zuzi & Ross
