The price is for the hiring of the grounds only and includes overnight stay for the bride and groom in our Ghillie Suite which is on site. Couples can choose to organise everything themselves and bring in catering/marquee/toilets /flowers /alcohol etc or we can quote for doing this too at a face to face meeting. If couples choose they can organise a Humanist or Civil wedding with a Registrar/Celebrant to marry them in the grounds should they wish. Emphasis is that a wedding at Prieston can be tailored to each individuals needs and wants.

We can provide in house catering for small groups (20 people) If you want to provide your own caters, pizza vans , ice cream parlours etc thats fine and we have plenty of room for them . Our specialty is Indian food but can cater for most tastes and would work on a bespoke menu for you.

Prieston House Grounds are perfect for a small intimate countryside wedding. The price quoted is for grounds hire only. We can offer the grounds for hire exclusively and have luxury accommodation available for the Bride and Groom in our Ghillie Suite. The bridal party can use this as their changing facility and it has its own lounge which can be used to receive guests. There is plenty of space available for anyone wanting to camp ! We have lots of nooks and crannies in the grounds perfect for beautiful photo opportunities and have a lovely family feel for a small group gathering. We are set in the stunning Scottish Borders countryside 40 minutes from Edinburgh or Berwick upon Tweed. We can let you have the grounds for your wedding party reception if you are planning to get married elsewhere. We are 5 minutes drive from the beautiful historical town of Melrose in the Scottish Borders. In house catering could be available by negotiation although we cannot cater for any larger than 15 within the house itself and lend ourself more to marquee/Tipi style wedding. . We are very flexible and can ensure you are able to have whatever you want to for the day.

As a Five star Bed and Breakfast business we are used to providing a very high quality service for our guests. We would work to personalise your wedding reception and are very flexible. You can organise your own marquee caterer etc so you get exactly what you want and would just be your venue. Please note we cannot cater for large numbers within the house.
