Your Day. Your Way.
Here at Stratton Court Barn we offer you a traditional converted barn, originally built in Cotswold stone in 1872. We pride ourselves on providing a relaxed atmosphere, with an informal approach, to help you really enjoy your day. We believe that your wedding day should reflect you, as a couple, so we are open to any ideas you might have in terms of theming, decoration and schedule of events.
A Countryside Venue
Stratton Court Barn is situated on the Wigmore’s private farm known as Pool Farm. The land is no longer in use for arable farming, but plays host to the Wigmore’s family business Banzai Events. With 30 years of experience in private and corporate events, the Wigmores certainly know how to make you feel welcome. The event business specialises in motorised events. You may therefore find quad bikes and welly boots around when you arrive for a site visit!
The barn consists of an entry hallway with flagstone flooring. To the left of the reception area is the dining room. The dining room seats 80 with a long top table and seven round tables. We can seat 90 guests by using nine round tables only. To the right of the entry hallway is our evening reception room. This room is perfect for your DJ or band to set up and for evening food to be served. This is also where you will find the bar.
Food and Drink
We have a range of wonderful caterers to recommend, each specialising in their own unique field, to ensure you have exactly the type of food you wish to have on your day - yet, by using our recommended supplier we can rest assured it will be perfectly done on the day. Drinks are purchased through us. However, we don't offer any set packages, in order to take in to consideration all of your requirements!
Outside the barn you will find a lovely lawn area, that is perfect for receptions drinks, along with Cathy's wonderful private garden that can be used for photos.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Vicky and Chris' wedding was an absolute cracker! Vicky described herself as "colour phobic and a impossible to please". But contrary to her bold statement, we set to work on making the day exactly what she wanted. The barn looked incredible with lots of green foliage, black chalkboard notes and table plan and festoon lighting inside and out. Oversizes white balloons matched the festoon bulbs, and created space on the tables for a sharing-platter-style three course meal. The weather played nice, so after the ceremony, all guests enjoyed the hay bales scattered outside, deck chairs and lawn area while Chris and Vicky had some amazing photos taken in the garden. As the sun set, the fire pit was lit for roasting marshmallows and the street food vans turned up. And this is when the bucking bronco came to full use! Eventually the great DJ got people back in the barn for a dance off, followed by a full dance floor until the very end of the night.
