Wedding Fair
Just wanted to say we went to a wedding fair here today and it was gorgeous. The staff were lovely and the wedding planner was fabulous, answering all our questions. It’s was so beautifully laid out as well, giving people viewing two totally different looks and helping us to visualise how it look. It was also refreshing not to have lots of peop trying to sell you things you could look around the actual venue. It is definitely our favourite venue and top of our shortlist.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

Every wedding is totally unique and special. We love getting to know our different couples, and work with them on their journey; getting to know their ideas, helping them create what will be the best day of their lives and to see it all come together and be a small part of their special day, is the icing on the cake.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

It's amazing how budget friendly you can be with your wedding decor. We have plenty of ideas to add a wow factor but not blow the cash....and of course there is also Pinterest!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Homemade sloe gin favours at an autumnal wedding....they didn't last long!

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Beautiful, serene, exclusive, peaceful and friendly

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Everywhere! Ok.. so to be more specific, the Peacock topiary by the manor porch is stunning for single or group shots. The soft pastel flowers of the Rose garden, the romantic wildflower meadow in the orchard and the vast precision lines of the Bowling Green lawns adds a formality and a touch of class to wedding photos.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Yes but that would be telling! We'll give you a clue....Paralympic athlete and a world famous boy band star and a few MPs

What’s your favourite canapé?

Beetroot, halloumi and sweet chilli jam wraps, a great option for any vegetarian guests and they look amazing too!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Salted caramel brownies! It's a must to eat heated up and with a big dollop of cream!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our anglo-american connections. For anyone that loves history or has a strong link to the USA, we are the ancestral home of George Washington, First President of the United States of America. For everyone else, we have a really pretty property and a beautiful garden that is a stunning backdrop for your wedding day.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

All of it! I think my absolute favourite has to be our garden. We've worked really hard the last couple of years to bring the garden back to life. There's so many beautiful ares and of different types to enjoy; the orchard, the Bowling Green lawns, the Rose garden and now we even have a natural woodland play area next to our paddock to enjoy.
