This stunning location provides the ideal setting and perfect for you to celebrate your wedding with up to 30 daytime guests. There are number of choices of where to hold your ceremony, from the luxurious Hope Scott Wing wedding suite, to our exquisite gardens or the intimate simplicity of the family chapel. You can then enjoy the splendour of the library, drawing room and picture corridor for an elegant drinks and canape reception. Then moving onto Ochiltrees our stunning contemporary dining room that can host up to 80 guests. Luxury accommodation is at hand in the elegantly furnished Hope Scott Wing, allowing you to prepare for your special day in quiet calm and to end it in lavish comfort.

Once the sun has set on your perfect day, couples love to cozy up next to the roaring fire in our luxury accommodation and have a lovely moment to themselves.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Our beautifully manicured gardens proven popular with couples, however, if you are looking for something a little different, we have opened up our woodlands with breathtaking views over the river tweed

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

There is no where more special that Abbotsford in the sunshine. One of our lovely couples were lucky enough to bring the weather with them and marry amidst our beautiful tulip festival. There relaxed and informal day really suited the couple and allowed them to feel like they were getting married in their own home.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

All of our canapes are outstanding but my personal favorite has to be Roast beef and caramelised onion choux buns

What’s your favourite canapé?

The whole setting is most definitely the most unique feature, Sir Walter Scott created something which is truly unique. Special arrangements can be made to have photos in Sir Walter Scott's Library. Completed in 1824 and, to many, the most iconic room at Abbotsford, Scott’s magnificent library.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

A wedding of a keen fisherman and golfer, they subtly added their hobbies to their wedding. From canapes served with golf balls, to cheese served on a small wooden boat they captured their personalities in their food and decoration.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Don't panic! Yes, there are many things to think about but everything comes together in the end.
