We specialise in house party weddings, usually at weekends, but not always! You would often arrive on a Friday afternoon, settle in and relax with your family and friends staying with you in the house. (We can recommend further accommodation for the rest of your wedding guests). You might want to run over a few of the wedding details with us or perhaps start to have fun with a game of croquet on the lawn or just unwind with a glass of champagne, knowing that everything is being taken care of by our team. During the evening, you might have chosen to self cater, or perhaps have a special meal cooked by one of our recommended local chefs. There are plenty of great pubs around if that appeals to you. Next morning, perhaps you have some activities or maybe a massage that we have arranged in advance, it's totally up to you. Like with everything to do with your wedding, it's about what you want. Our team will be starting to make preparations for your big day; the marquee, your ceremony, the meal and party, just as we've discussed with you. Our wedding couples often comment on how seamlessly the whole day runs and that's what we aim for, so that you are having the time of your life and not worrying about the details. After your ceremony, you might be having drinks on the lawn before leading your guests into a marquee. We're very fussy about our caterers, to ensure that you will be delighted with the standard of cuisine you'll be served. Then, as the evening approaches, we have a special party room with integrated sound and light system for your party to continue with dancing. The next day, you might be chatting with your guests over breakfast, re-living the day before and looking forward to enjoying another day before it's time to pack up and go on honeymoon!

That's a tough one, it depends, but overall I'd probably go with a tub of homemade ice-cream.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The wonderful canopy of the plane tree and what a beautiful setting it makes for a humanist ceremony beneath it. You feel very cocooned beneath it's branches, in your own private universe.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

The "above and beyond attitude" of our team and their creativity to produce what our couples see in their imagination for their wedding day.
