The Black Horse Inn is a 17th Century pub and restaurant built on the Pilgrims Way, situated on the North Downs in Kent. Designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' your wedding can be held in our flower covered gazebo with your guests seated under a beautiful wooden pergola in our private gardens, with the reception being held in the newly built 'Pilgrim Suite' - a large reception room adorned with wooden beams and Kentish hops. It features its own serviced bar, a dance floor and private restrooms. The Pilgrim Suite looks out over our 3 acres of grounds, where our 27 beautiful en-suite bed and breakfast rooms are situated. The Black Horse Inn can cater for smaller, more intimate weddings for 10 guests or larger more lavish weddings for up to 110 guests. Please contact us for a full brochure, and to arrange an appointment to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
A British man marrying a Brazilian woman - the colours of the guests dresses and men's suits were incredible, as was the salsa dancing!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan early, don't leave your invites to the last minute - send out as early as you can to avoid clashing with friends and families pre-booked holidays!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Centre pieces being the couples favorite books with an antique camera (which they collected) placed on top and then covered with meadow flowers.
Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.
Intimate, personal, countryside, Kentish, delicious!
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
On the steps leading down to the flowered gazebo - a large enough space to fit 100 persons into one frame.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Mini beef burgers on croutons with relish.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The hop and beam filled reception room.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
All of it!
