Opened in 1931 to host the Leith Hill Musical competition, Dorking Halls has a rich musical history. It was here that renowned composer Ralph Vaughan Williams staged Bach’s St Matthew Passion. We now host hundreds of events each year, including ballet, opera, drama and live music. As an entertainment venue we offer you red carpet treatment (literally), a spotlit entrance and a grand stage for your evening’s entertainment. Whatever your wishes, we want to make your day unique, enjoyable and, above all, unforgettable.
The Grand Hall - Still retaining many of the features of its original 1930s design, we’re very proud of our Grand Hall. For a wedding breakfast it can seat 320 people – 30 tables of ten plus space for a top table of 20. The raised stage is an ideal spot for a top table, still leaving plenty space for live entertainment. We can wash the room in colours of your choice with our state of the art LED lighting. Make sure no one misses your speeches with our PA system and wireless microphones.
