The Elms

We would like to thank the whole team at The Elms for helping to make sure our wedding day was a complete success. From very responsive emails from Siobhan throughout the preparations, nothing seemed too much trouble, to the way they followed our vision to set up the venue just the way we wanted it on the day. The on the day team were completely on the ball and made sure everything ran smoothly. Could not have asked for a better day and a lot of the worries and stresses were taken away knowing we were in good hands. We have received many positive comments from our guests regarding how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food tasted (especially the evening buffet) Thank you again Mr & Mrs Andrews

Alex and I just wanted to email to send a huge thank you to yourself, Jane and the team at the Elms. Our day was so wonderful it’s hard to put in to words but we are so grateful to all the staff for working so hard and efficiently to make sure the whole day ran smoothly. We did not have any worries or concerns on the day that something wasn’t going right. The food, drink and service was fantastic. The guests were filled with compliments at the style of the hotel and were in such high spirits to be there. I hope you enjoyed seeing the venue come together with our flowers and wedding decor to make our perfect day. All the renovations you have carried out recently just looked so wonderful and definitely added some extra wow factor. I will be sure to send on a few photos from the photographer when we get them. The biggest of thank you’s from us, the new Gilberts. The Elms will forever remain a special place to us and we hope to visit again when we return from Australia. We just want to thank The Elms for everything they did to make our wedding day the most perfect day. Siobhan supported us in the planning and Jane ran the day so effortlessly! All the staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was delicious and the venue is just beautiful. What we loved the most was having exclusivity: just our guests for the entire day and night. Having breakfast altogether the next morning just extended our wonderful day. Firstly a huge huge thank you to you and all of the staff.. especially Jane.. who were so tentative on our day and for lunch on Sunday. You are all wonderful and made it so memorable and all go so smoothly. We can’t thank you enough. I hope you enjoyed seeing it all together and it come to life! It was surreal! And I’m still on a high.

I cannot give you all enough gratitude, it was absolutely amazing from start to end. We have had so many compliments and good praises about how well organised and amazing you all were, all of our guests were so impressed and they had the best time, lots of them said it’s one of the best weddings they’ve been to! Honestly you guys were the best, everything ran so smoothly, you were all so helpful, attentive & friendly and nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing! I can’t thank you all enough!

Wow. I don't even know where to start with our review of the Elms. On 2nd August this year, my husband and I had our wedding reception at The Elms and we are still on cloud 9. It was a perfect day from start to finish, with delicious food, attentive service, and beautiful rooms and gardens in which we and our guests could celebrate in style. Siobhan was an excellent wedding co-ordinator and planned everything meticulously. She accommodated all the (many!) little touches and small details that we wanted in order to make our wedding personal and unique and was always on hand to advise us on matters great and small, from the order of the day to the best location for a rather large photo booth. Most importantly, Siobhan made us feel supported, replying to my many emails with the reassurance I needed but also with a little joke or well-timed comment that made me smile and feel at ease. All of the staff who looked after us and our guests on the day of our wedding, as well as the morning after, treated us like royalty, especially Jane, who was in charge of festivities on the day and ensured that everything ran smoothly with good humour and an enormous smile on her face; by the end of the day she felt like more like one of our guests than a member of staff. So many of our guests have commented on how incredible the staff were: nothing was too much trouble for them. The Elms is a truly magical venue and we could not have picked anywhere better to celebrate our marriage. The happy memories of our wedding day will last a lifetime and that is due in no small part to The Elms Hotel and Spa and its wonderful staff. We can't thank them enough!
