Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
One of the most memorable weddings at The Gardens involved a groom who worked with horses. He wanted this passion reflected in his wedding, so we worked with him to arrange the most magical ceremony entrance we've ever seen from a groom.
He arrived on horseback, like a knight in shining armour, riding his way down the aisle towards the gazebo (much to the delight of his guests). During the outdoor ceremony, his horse happily grazed on the grass as the pair said their vows.
It was so romantic and a true reflection of a lovely couple, we've no doubt their guests are still talking about it now.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Throw away the rulebook, forget what's in fashion, and focus on what matters to both of you. This is a celebration of you and your relationship, so we always recommend couples think about ways they can incorporate little touches of their personalities throughout their day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
It's always so lovely to see couples incorporating a nod to those who are no longer with them, it's such a special and personal touch.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There's too many to count - your photographer will be in paradise! We have 12 acres of grounds with 16 individual, beautifully designed garden ‘rooms’ each with their own characteristics, mood and colour. A very popular photo spot is our stunning victorian greenhouse, which was donated to The Gardens by HRH Prince Charles in the 1990s. And for Spring weddings, our famous tumbling display of lilac wisteria gets a LOT of attention.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
One of our lovely brides went on to become a Finalist in The Great British Bake Off.
What’s your favourite canapé?
It's hard to choose, but we love our Beef Sirloin Steak, Pomme Frite & Bearnaise Sauce. It's indulgent and truly delicious.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our stunning, Nordic hat style Tipis add the wow factor to every wedding breakfast. Romantic fairy lights cascade from the wooden beams, while the fire pits exude light and warmth, creating a really magical atmosphere. They're spacious - seating up to 130 guests for a sit down meal and 240 for a buffet - while feeling really intimate and special.
