What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have the most amazing day with the love of your life, your family and friends and your nearest and dearest. This day is one of the most memorable, best days of your life! Do not miss a minute of it and enjoy it to the fullest!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Your wedding day is all about you and your spouse to-be, so personal touches are lovely to add to your wedding. In the past we have seen personalised table decorations, table plans, family photographs and favours. A personal favourite of ours is rehearsed dance routines. You can tell the bride and grooms have put a lot of time and effort into their routines and their guests are always wowed! Suggestion cards are another personal touch that we favour. Guests each fill in a card for the Bride and Groom to read. This could be anything from advice to them as husband and wife or travel suggestions. It is a nice idea and a reminder from their day they can keep forever.
Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
It would be difficult to name one photo spot at the Grand Hotel, Tynemouth as there are so many beautiful photograph opportunities! The spectacular sweeping staircase in the hotel is always a favourite. Longsands beach and Tynemouth priory make a fantastic back drop for bride and groom, and group shots. Our secret outdoor roof terrace is another photograph opportunity that is not to be missed!
What’s your favourite canapé?
We offer a wide range of canapes during the arrival drink reception. Our favourites are the venison sausage rolls and mini fish and chips with tartare sauce (we couldn't possibly choose one)! They are a favourite amongst the guests too. Who doesn't love sausage rolls and fish and chips?!
