The Green was our first choice for a countryside wedding in Cornwall and we booked it just based on the photos alone.

As you coast gently downhill from the granite-speckled heights and wild, sweeping contours of Bodmin moor, the open expanses give way to a dense wooded valley. In a wonderfully secluded spot, where lush hills tumble into the idyllic river valley below and a picture-perfect patchwork of orchards and meadows cloaks the horizon, you’ll find The Green. A ready-made wedding village, The Green is a wholly private and endlessly pretty place to get married. Whether it’s a large-scale traditional affair, a cosy DIY country celebration or a laid-back festival-style party, the ethos is one of flexibility. A series of options are available depending on the scale of your celebration.
Share your wedding day with up to 140 guests, with adaptable function space for smaller groups and offer up to three days of 5 Star luxury accommodation to 32 of your closest friends and family. Surrounded by breathtaking views, our picturesque 20-acre private estate has its own lovely orchard, wild meadows, enchanting woods and a tranquil lake. So there are endless idyllic settings for beautiful photographs of your special day.
We have many locations where you can exchange your vows. Our Oak arbour is outdoors, set on the hillside, and framed by two majestic English oaks; it looks down onto a canopy of trees in the lush green valley below. Our Lake Arbour is set by the river beside our lake nestled amongst the trees.
If the weather isn’t kind we have some gorgeous indoor options for you too. Our Wedding Barn is just adorable with tons of character and original beams and oak floors. If you are looking for something a bit more DIY then our Really Rustic Barn has lots of scope for styling to your own taste. Or with its dramatic wall of glass, and flooded with natural light, the Green Room is a stunning, contemporary space for an indoor ceremony.
For your reception we have our stunning Red Brick Barn. It’s hard to believe that our Red Brick Barn was once a cow shed. The red brick walls and origin

When driving in Cornwall it is important not to solely rely on your Satnav. Whilst Satnav can often take you to exactly where you want to be coverage can be patchy and it it can be problematic if you take a wrong turning. Rural Cornwall has a network of narrow un-named lanes. Satnavs will often recalculate your route and will treat the un-named lanes as any other road and you can soon find yourself in a maze of these with high hedges and passing places.
We would always recommend that you print out some directions and have a road atlas to hand. Then if you get lost you can follow signs to the nearest village and navigate via road signs from there.
