Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Every wedding we have had here at The Grosvenor has been the best in there own unique way. Each one has been different, with the couples own personal touch and i think thats what makes it so exciting for us as a Wedding Venue. We enjoy coming up with different ideas for couples whilst incorporating everything they have asked for.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
You make the decisions, not the venue. After all it is 'your' big day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have had a Love Ladder supplied by the bride (pictures of people unable to join in on the special day with loving things and candles around them), and we have had a Rodeo Bull at 1 of our weddings. It was a surprise from the bride to the groom and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The Imperial Ballroom staircase is the ideal place for group photographs as the stairs allow all of guests to get in the picture without them getting too squashed. In the function rooms the stages are the best place for photographs as you can get a complete view of the room, although any area in the function rooms take good pictures (depending on which guests are there :-))
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
The Uk's No.1 Take That Tribute (Fake That) is here on 14th August 2016. We have also had Ricky Valance visit us a few times, as a friend, colleague, and guest.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Chocolate Fudge Cake, with Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream and a large glass of Baileys. Failing that, i am very partial to Ice Cream & Waffles from the Ice Cream Hut opposite & always start the season off with the biggest one i can buy.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Personally i think our Ballroom is our most unique feature, the biggest in Skegness, and most of the country. Whether you are planning a big function or a small one, it can be adapted to suit.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are proud of every part of our business - the hotel, the function rooms (Lillibets Bar, Pier View Suite, and The Imperial ballroom), The Jubilee Bar (Main Bar), Our staff are fantastic (FOH & BOH), Our Entertainers (most of them ;-).) All we need are the customers!!!!!
