Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Mini Yorkshire pudding with roast beef and horseradish sauce! They are a little bit different and so tasty!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Actually, its not at our venue! Across the road from us is a beautiful churchyard with stone archway which is perfect for photos, and there is also a large open space with lovely thick old trees that provide a great backdrop to the happy couple. Not being actually at our venue gives the bride and groom 5 minutes alone too!!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Let your venue guide you. Tell them what you want, then let them help you achieve it. They will know the best way of doing things, and can offer help and support to make your wishes come to life. Just be careful - Don't be pushed into accepting something you don't really want!
Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our team - they are all amazing, and work so hard to make all our guests happy.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Our building - built as a posting house in 1750, it still retains so much of its old traditional charm and character.
What’s your favourite canapé?
They have all been best, but for very different reasons!! The teams favourite so far has been our vintage pink wedding for a lovely couple in June 2015. They had sugar mice favours, a dusty pink and cornflower blue theme, and vintage style table decorations - everyone had so much fun from start to finish!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We like to think all our happy couples feel like celebrities with us on their big day!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
What part of your business are you most proud of?
A mother-of-the-bride used her sewing skills to make patchwork mice dressed as little brides and grooms! They made wonderful centrepieces and then were given to ladies on each of the tables as special thank-yous!
