- Once the law courts and Judges Residence for the county The Old Shire Hall has been restored to its former glory and is no an exclusive use wedding venue. There are 6 licenced spaces ranging in capacity, including two original court rooms and the stunning Great Hall. Your dedicated Event Manager will be with you from your initial enquiry right through until the last guest leaves at the end of the night, meaning you can just relax and enjoy the day. We don't offer set wedding packages instead you can work with the in house catering team will design menus to suit your tastes and ideas, leaving you to be sure that your wedding day is just how you want it to be.
