The Painswick

We recently got married at The Painswick and, from start to finish, it was absolutely magnificent. Luke and the team pulled out all the stops to make it special.. The size of the hotel dictates a fairly intimate occasion. We had 24 guests. We were keen to hold the ceremony on the beautiful terrace with views over the Slad valley. But, with the weather forecast looking a bit mixed, Luke very kindly set-up both the terrace and a room indoors in case we had to dash inside at the last minute. As it happened the weather was fine, so we got our wish on the terrace. We then had fizz on the lawn followed by a delicious meal (guests could choose from three dishes) and, most importantly for us, we were all sat around one long table in the restaurant. After the meal, we retired to the lounge for coffee and petit fours with our guests and enjoyed more wine and cocktails in front of the fire. Just perfect. Overall, the staff were attentive without being intrusive and gave us the space to enjoy our day. Thanks to Luke and everybody at The Painswick for making our most special day so unforgettable.

We hired The Painswick for our daughters wedding. After the complete stress of the build up due to Covid, the Painswick could not have been more helpful. The entire team are amazing and could not do enough to help over the entire weekend. The food was amazing, from the canapes to the wedding breakfast everything was superb.
