Full Description
The Tudor Barn, Burnham, was built around 1505 and offers elegance, distinction and more than a little charm. It’s conveniently situated too, located just outside Burnham village in Buckinghamshire, and within easy reach of the M4, M40, M25 and Heathrow. The main banquet halls holds up to 140 guests for your Wedding Breakfast, with capacity for another 50 guests for the Evening Reception. The bright and airy Garden Room, used for Civil Ceremonies, opens out onto a spacious patio and lawn. There’s also a fully stocked bar, complete with contactless payment facilities for extra convenience. Also available is a large car park, with spaces for around 100 cars. If you’re thinking of making your nuptials a little more natural, then we’re delighted to offer outdoor civil ceremonies between 1st March and 31st October. Set in lush greenery, the stunning wedding gazebo is the perfect place to tie the knot in fresh air and (hopefully) wonderful sunshine. An outdoor ceremony costs an extra non-refundable £200 + VAT (on top of the indoor set-up fee) – this includes setting up costs for chairs, music, registrar tables and aisle carpet. A wedding isn’t a wedding without celebrating it with friends and family over top quality food. Tudor Catering, our preferred caterers, have been delivering exceptional cuisine for over 30 years. Covering a range of styles and prices, they‘ll be more than happy to help you create your own Wedding Breakfasts (including tastings).

Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Tessa
We're so happy you've stopped to take a look at The Tudor Barn in Burnham. We're proud to be a little different from other venues out there. We're not a big, faceless hotel who sometimes squeeze in a couple of weddings a day. We're a unique, personal venue, which is all yours for the whole day. We have a Wedding Co-ordinator who will be there to support you throughout the whole journey - and will be there on the day to make sure everything runs smoothly. Hopefully see you soon.

Terrific Tudor Barn
If you are considering a barn venue then look no further, Tudor Barn has it all! It's the most beautiful location offering outside and indoor ceremonies with the reception in a separate room. The barn is the most perfect size, big enough but not vast and impersonal as some can be. There's great outdoor space and lots of photo opportunities as well as a great bridal room to get ready in. The most important part is the team, led by Debbie, they will literally do anything to make your day perfect. Have worked there for many years as their florist and seen first hand how they make dreams come true!

Thank you to Debbie and the team
Dear Debbie, We wanted to thank you for being the most amazing support for our wedding reception at The Tudor Barn on 14.03.2020. You answered every question, sorted anything that needed sorting and you made us feel relaxed and in experienced hands on the day - which was perfect! There isn't a thing (if we went back and did it again) that we would change. Truly - thank you.

FAQ
(10)

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

Tricky. They all have their special, unique characteristics. That's like asking us to choose which is our favourite child, or picking the best Beatles song. It can't be done! But the best 'kind' of weddings are the ones where the newly weds and all the guests are having fun and being themselves - and everyone leaves exhausted and happy.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't stress over the small things. Guests remember the venue, the food and the music - not the napkins!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Having a reading at a Civil Ceremony in our Garden Room where the words mean so much to the couple. It's so personal and special - and a little emotional!

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Personal, distinctive, romantic, historical, unforgettable

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

There are so many! Many couples love our stone pagoda, nestled away in our gardens, with the ivy weaving its way around it. Or our wonderful wedding gazebo in the front gardens, with its atmospheric lighting. Then there's the eye-catching courtyard with it's striking clock tower. We'll let you decide!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We had the wonderful Benedict Cumberbatch as a guest a couple of years ago. We was so friendly and lovely!

What’s your favourite canapé?

It's got to be smoked salmon blinis!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Nibbling on a hog roast. Hot or cold, it's still the best.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The exposed wooden beams and gorgeous grounds. Oh, and our Wedding Co-ordinator Debbie. She's a force of nature and every couple's best friend and confidante.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our attention to the bride and groom. It's their special day and we never forget that. Our Wedding Co-ordinator is often called The Wedding Fairy Godmother because of her personal care and commitment to every couple. She's been like a sister and mother to some of our couple, and many come back years later to say hello. It's wonderful.
