Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Be it the setting, atmosphere, food or service it goes without saying that all our weddings are without exception fabulous! If I was to pick an instance which demonstrates what we offer at Tre-Ysgawen I'd refer to the Daily Mirror and their praise of our "exquisite" food and "lavish" interior which fosters feelings of being "transported to an episode of Downton Abbey". Tre-Ysagwen offers a timeless period charm coupled with a high-quality delivery of product and services, it is these factors which contribute to making all our weddings the best of celebrations.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Without stating the obvious our #1 wedding planning tip would be to plan. Organisation and the consideration of every aspect of your wedding day is crucial to the enjoyment and satisfaction you personally gain from it. Have everything organised. Nerves aside having everything ready and in place will allow you to relax (as much as possible!) in the build-up to the big day. Another little tip would be to think about cost, decorations can be re-used through-out the day (moved from the ceremony on to the wedding breakfast, from the wedding breakfast to the evening reception). Additionally professional looking table plans can be made at home (with a little practice).
Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.
Property: Charming. Timeless. Product: Accessible yet high-end. Service: Meticulous. Attentive.
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our interior, specifically in and around the original hall areas features a library with a roaring fire and a very grand lower and upper lobby and staircase. Perhaps better still our wooded sculpture and walled gardens offer many a glorious backdrop upon which to capture the photographic memories you can treasure.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Our most famous wedding is probably that of David Essex in 2010. In respect to famous guest the list is pretty extensive including Demi Moore, Alicia Keyes, JLS, Denise Walsh and Simon Gregson. We have also had the pleasure of accommodating the Top Gear film crew,.... luckily we served them hot food.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Tough one,... beef fillet and roasted red pepper kebab, savoury scone with with sweet chilli and cream cheese or a chicken liver parfait crostini with onion marmalade.... In truth I can't decide!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
From our perspective as a team come midnight we are most happy when we can step back a little and evaluate the successes of the day. For us our midnight reward is seeing joyous, satisfied faces upon bride and groom, friends and family alike, expressions which let us know we have completed our remit as required. Our treat is knowing we delivered a stunning day for you and your guests, the day for which we planned delivered as planned.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Tre-Ysgawen's most unique feature is Tre-Ysgawen. It is a property genuinely unique in its splendor, if you aren't aware of what it is we offer we would greatly encourage you to come and find out.... You will not be disappointed.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
As a Management team we are proud of the reputation we have developed over several decades. This isn't due to one aspect of business, it is down to the consistent delivery on promise and expectation at all levels from all departments.
