From booking through to the day itself; communication and decision making was effortless
When your vision of the perfect wedding venue is to find a modern design, overlooking the sea with a relaxed feel, we thought we’d have to compromise on something. Little did we know at the time that The Tunnels had all of that and so much more.
It was the first and only wedding venue we needed to view, even though our first viewing was on a dreary, cold January day, we loved the venue. We were made to feel welcome by Jaques, our wedding coordinator, from our very first meeting which immediately put our minds at ease. And that’s how it stayed from booking through to the day itself; communication and decision making was effortless, with any question or worry answered quickly.
The majority of our guests stayed in all three houses, which are beautifully presented even though at the time of booking The Courtyard was incomplete and The Woodlands was just plans. Staying onsite gave us the opportunity to make a mini-break of our wedding where our guests could relax and enjoy the surrounding area with us.
The day itself ran like clockwork, everything fell into place thanks to the subtlety of Jacques and her team, and we both felt like we floated through the day on a wave of happiness. You really couldn’t ask for anything more from your wedding day than that.
And to top it all off, the food was gorgeous and drink a plenty. We went with the garden party drink package and it was the perfect amount for us. We danced through to 1am and snacked on huge pasties later in the evening, which definitely helped with the sore heads the next day.
If we had our day all over again, we wouldn’t change one thing. It really was perfect - thank you so much Jamie, Jacs and the rest of the team.
