Ivy House Country Hotel

We had the most perfect wedding day at Ivy House Country Hotel. It was all thanks to Hannah, the wedding planner who looked after us up to the week of the wedding. Then Angela took us under her wing and made sure all aspects of our day were perfect and tailored to us. We originally fell in love with the venue due to the beautiful barn where the ceremony was held. We wanted a rustic aesthetic look throughout the whole day and Ivy House fitted this. The reception looks beautiful with fairy lights and draping cloth ceiling. We truly fell in love and were able to use this as a base for our rustic vision. A special touch was being the first wedding of 2024 and using the newly decorated rose suite to get ready in which had many compliments by bridesmaids and suppliers. We can’t thank Hannah, Angela and the Ivy House team all their efforts at making sure our day was perfect.

We got married on the 4th November at the stunning Ivy House Country Hotel and we had the most perfect wedding day surrounded by family and friends, having our ceremony in the crooked barn followed by our reception in the hall. The team of staff were brilliant, from our first meetings with Hannah, when initially planning the day, to then meeting Angela and chatting about the arrangements and her being there on our day. A special mention must go to Angela and all the team who provided an outstanding service, nothing was too much trouble, the team were lovely, friendly people who just added to the family friendly atmosphere, perfect for our wedding day. We can’t recommend Ivy House enough, it is a stunning location with an excellent service. All our family and friends said the same. Thank you again to all the team, wish we could do it all over again!

Our day couldn’t have been any more perfect. Angie, Hannah and the team did an amazing job, the food, room set up, service and attention to detail were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. We only had a small intimate ceremony for 20 guests followed by afternoon tea. All guests commented on how lovely the food was, very tasty with a great selection and beautifully presented. The barn is a fairytale setting and suited our needs perfectly, the grounds are lovely and provide many lovely spots for photos. Couldn’t have wished for anything more.

We had a look at a few venues before we found ivy house, We loved that you could get married in the barn and then walk down to the hall for wedding breakfast and evening reception. There wasn’t any of the faffing around waiting for things to be moved around. From start to finish we had such a great experience with planning our wedding at the ivy house. The lead up to the wedding, I felt like everything was in hand and I didn’t have to worry about anything to do with the venue Hannah was always around to answer our questions. She played a massive part leading up to our big day and helped us massively. Angela who was there to help us on the day ensure everything ran smoothly was amazing. Nothing was a big ask and the day went amazingly. I can not explain how much we all appreciated having her there. The day ran so seamlessly and honestly I couldn’t have asked for anything to go better, the food was lovely! Everyone commented on how nice it was and we had the hog roast which I would 100% recommend. We had no stressing and booked out the rooms which our friends and family stayed in. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and the bar was quick! No one likes to wait around too long for a drink.

The whole planning process was completely hassle free with brilliant communication from our wedding planner Hannah. She was so calm, lovely and patient with us with every question and query we ever had. The reception were brilliant with requests and enquiries from all of our family and friends and everyone commented on the cleanliness and size of the rooms during their stay. We can’t even begin to put the day into words apart from it was everything we imagined and better. Throughout the whole process The Ivy was amazing. Hannah was so clear and organised with our regular meetings and listened to our vision for the day. Keith was incredible on the lead up and answered any questions we had with food and was on hand in the days leading up to our wedding. Angela coordinated our day - our favourite part was when we was greeted us with a very needed drink straightaway our ceremony. She took the stress out of the day and told us exactly what we needed to know and when. Again, she listened to our vision and delivered it! Thank you so much. If we had any advice to recently engaged couples it’s get married here. It’s so beautiful and you won’t regret it.
