Full Description
The reception rooms of this Grade 2* listed Victorian country house have been lovingly restored to elegant rooms in which you can set your ideal Wedding Reception. Bring in your own caterer, wine, -please note we do not charge corkage- music and entertainment. You may dress the rooms to your own theme. We will allow access for preparation from 8:00am the day before your wedding. When the day is over relax! It can all be cleared tomorrow, with access all day to tidy up. Whether you work with a wedding planner, or plan a simple family celebration Whitbourne Hall is the perfect place to bring your dreams to life. The Atrium is the most impressive room, right in the centre of the house with a fine marble staircase leading up to the gallery, Oak doors lead off from here to all the main rooms. On a fine day welcome drinks can be enjoyed on the terrace. Should the weather be unkind the Atrium is the ideal place for guests to mingle. The Dining room retains its original dining suite, and will provide grand dining for up to 24 at the table, or about 70 seated at round tables. All the furniture can be cleared if this room is chosen for dancing. The Adam style Drawing room is blue and gold with gilt mirrors, painted panels and a crystal chandelier. It will seat 130 guests. The curved windows form a large bay overlooking the terrace. Next door is the Morning room, a comfortable sitting room, changing room for the bride, or a quiet area, the choice is yours. The hire package includes the use of the entrance; Atrium; Drawing & dining rooms; morning room; kitchen; cloakrooms and terrace. We provide sufficient tables and chairs to seat 130 guests for a formal meal. There is ample parking adjacent to the Hall, and overspill parking on grass. Disabled access to the house is by portable ramp, inside all doors are very wide, and accessible WC is available.

The Most beautiful venue and freedom to do what you want
I wanted a wedding venue that allowed us to have a very personal wedding - And Whitbourne Hall delivered in bucket loads, and to top it off - it is so beautiful. Think freedom of a church hall, and grandeur of a castle - and that's what you get with Whitbourne Hall. Wow - What a venue. You simply have to see it. Every time we visited, I got the 'OMG - I'm getting married here' feeling. It really is such a stunning venue. From the lawn at the back, the maze hedges, the glass ceiling, the drawing room with its intricate details. This venue is simply superb. It rained on our wedding day, so we weren't able to use the lawn to play lawn games. This wasn't a problem at all, we had a beautiful atrium to use - with its huge columns and glass ceiling, it's very much a room with its own character. We had our wedding breakfast in the drawing room, which features a beautiful fireplace and a huge chandelier. Dancing took place in the dining room - a room with its own character. Back in the atrium, we had a photo booth, a waffle and crepe cart, evening buffet and a bar. There was still enough room for people to move around freely. Then there's the morning room - which became a hub for mums and those wanting some quiet. Stunning blue walls and an amazing fireplace. There's enough space in this venue that means you do not need the 45 mins for a room turn around. That's 45 more minutes you enjoy with your closest friends and family, not in stuck in the corner of a room. The venue is so grand, it did not need additional decorations. We only had centerpieces. I brought wedding bunting etc as I felt I should have some - but didn't use it as it really wasn't needed. 'This venue is amazing' was the 2nd most used comment of the day (the first being - my dress). It was lovely talking to the guests about the venue and history. This experience would not be complete without Heather. Always available to answer queries. What an amazing sense of humour and a wealth of knowledge of weddings and wedding tips. She really is a gem in Whitbourne Hall

'It really is something from a fairytale'
Whitbourne Hall is absolutely breathtaking. When we first got engaged we spent ages scouring the internet for a suitable reception venue and then I stumbled across Whitbourne Hall. I saw the images on the website and was blown away, but the images are nothing compared to seeing this exquisite venue in real life. When we turned up, my husband and I immediately knew that it was the ONE. The drive through the beautiful English countryside is brilliant, but then you see Whitbourne Hall - golden and glorious - and the exterior alone will leave you lost for words. The gardens are perfectly maintained by the extensive team at Whitbourne Hall, with a beautifully manicured maze, a gorgeous fountain and a bench that overlooks the beautiful lake. It really is something from a fairytale. The interior is equally as stunning. The wedding breakfast room is sensational, with beautiful decor and a stunning chandelier. On top of that, there is an opulent dining room, which we used as a dance floor and - my favourite part - the stunning staircase and enormous hall. Just wow! It is very rare to find a venue this beautiful, but what made it even more special was the fact that you can source your own caterer, wine etc., enabling you to make the day completely unique. Unlike other venues, there's no corkage, cakeage or anything along those lines. The whole team at Whitbourne Hall were brilliant and Heather - who was our main point of contact - was absolutely marvellous. She allowed us to hold our engagement photoshoot at the venue, happily answered all our questions - no matter how big or small they were, happily allowed us to visit the venue when we needed to and was just a brilliant support along the way. Heather, thank you so much for your help, support and genuine care and attention to detail. You made the whole process feel very special. The wedding day was dreamy and ran very smoothly, and EVERY single guest commented on how AMAZING the venue was. Thank you for making all our dreams come true. Many thanks, Philly and Dan
