Wookey Hole Caves

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Wookey Hole. It really was the perfect day. The tables and room looked even better than I envisaged and lots of people commented on it. The caves also looked so beautiful. Lucy was so calm and everything ran so smoothly. I had no idea how much everything over ran until people told me the next day. That must have been stressful for the team but they did not show it! We really did have the perfect day and we are so grateful to Lucy & the team. Thank you also for the lovely frame. We already have a picture in it!

If you are looking for something that is not only a spectacular wedding venue but also a fabulously fun place for your guests to spend the whole week-end, this is the place. We hired several of the lodges which meant that both families could really get to know each other. The hot tubs were a real hit, and the children loved the caves and play areas. We had such a good time getting together before and after the Wedding. The Wedding Ceremony itself was magical and the party after was such good fun with great food and dancing. We were going to have a traditional Wedding but the Bridegroom came up with this idea and I am so pleased he did. The staff were so helpful and professional, nothing was too much trouble. The caves were candle lit and we walked through them with music playing while we waited for the bride, the photos are breathtaking. I would highly recommend Wookey Hole for Weddings.

We had our wedding at Wookey Hole Caves. It was the most amazing magical day we could have wished for. We had 100 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast which we had a hog roast. Beautiful food. Then for the reception when the soft play and penny arcades were opened we had an additional 63 guests. Was amazing have family and friends to share it with. Yes we had a few hiccups but the staff were quick and professional In ironing them out and solving them. Lucy is amazing and will help in anyway she can and the staff that she had on for our wedding were all great and enjoyed themselves knowing we were enjoying ourselves also. I would totally recommend Wookey for any wedding or celebration the staff are all friendly and will go above and beyond to help in anyway they can. The lights and tea lights in the cave made it feel magical and romantic and it is something completely different. My guests are still talking about it now to their friends and family. The reception room set up was lovely and so much is included in the package. You can always add things on that they hire out or bring your own. They are so accommodating and reassuring I couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding. We also had the soft play and penny arcades. I didn’t get pictures of them but awaiting my professional ones. I wish I could re live the day and do it all again. It was a long time comings made longer with covid but eventually we managed it and we loved every minute of it. Hope you choose Wookey Hole Caves for your venue. I can highly recommend this place if your looking for a unique wedding. You have everything under one roof, accommodation, reception venue, bar etc. But where do I start. There's so many advantages of having your wedding here. Lucy is amazing at organising everything and did a wonderful job of ours. The staff were brilliant and so helpful. The caves itself was a wonderful experience and you can choose which chamber is best for you. We chose chamber 3. We had some lovely finishing touches from Wookey like a bottle of bubbly in the room, a lovely gift and card. And speaking of the rooms, it was made out beautifully with red petals. Hopefully you'll be able to get some ideas from my pictures. The whole experience was done to perfection from start to finish.

From start to finish Lucy, wedding coordinator, was brilliant. All communication was clear, efficient and personal. Lucy was extremely professional yet made you feel like you were the only wedding she was helping to organise. The cave was just stunning and decorated exactly as asked. The guides to take you through were lovely. Our canapés, pre dinner drinks and entertainment were wonderful and went down very well with the guests. We had the hog roast and it was delicious. Our bar staff were just so friendly and lovely to chat with. The whole wedding experience itself was perfect. We wouldn't change a thing. The only "negative" is the actual hotel itself. It just lacks any atmosphere. So as long as you realise all you will do is sleep and get ready there you'll be fine. If anybody asked me would I recommend wookey as a wedding venue I would 100% say yes. Every single member of staff make your day(and stay) so so special
