What is your most memorable wedding?
The most memorable weddings are the ones where the couples dynamic is so strong that it wouldn’t matter if they were stood in front of a garden shed getting married
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Simplistic, minimalist, elegant, timeless, beautiful
What about your business are you most proud of?
I feel as though I leave every wedding with a new set of friends.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don’t over produce the day with a tight schedule. The more time you leave to simply enjoy yourselves the more you’ll simply enjoy yourselves
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I meet most couples at my office in Hinckley. Initially I really don’t need much more than a few basic details in order to provide a quote and then once booking is secured. I collect more details about the logistics during the build up to the big day
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
There’s a shot of me sprinting toward my camera as an energetic 3 year old was about to pull it onto himself
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
The Postman starring Kevin Costner, great story... filmed badly!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I use a licenced instrumental to create a score similar to an actual feature film. That way the film is timeless and not dated by current songs.
Describe how you got into videography.
I’ve had a video camera since I was 13 and have always made home videos with relatives. I studied media in college but it wasn’t until I filmed a wedding for a family friend that I realised just how much emotion could be captured with little to no direction. Very few forms of video allow you to be as creative in the edit suite as a wedding does.
