Imagine having a wedding videographer who is as excited as you are about capturing those natural, candid moments on your wedding day? Not just of you both and those key moments but of all your family and friends celebrating too? Someone who’s eager to capture all those genuine moments during your wedding day in such a friendly and discreet way that despite feeling so nervous about being in front of the camera you’re left feeling like you’re not being filmed at all. I know it’s hard to even imagine as I had exactly the same worries about videography when I got married and it’s why I work so hard to ensure you’ll forget why you felt so nervous in the first instance! With over 10 years of wedding experience and a background in comedy film and television she was drawn capturing the real, fun moments from your day. The laughter, the silliness AND the genuine love! Weddings can be romantic yes, but it's not all about the cheesy slow mo kisses and walks in to the sunset. It's about real moments. Real love. Marrying your best friend! After editing my own wedding film I realised how my skills, and experience as a bride too, could not only help create truly beautiful and bespoke wedding videos for other couples it could also prove useful helping out on the day to ensure everything runs perfectly! Head over to our website to see real weddings, both in highlight form and our special feature films that include audio captured on the day like vows and speeches. Based in Burscough, Lancashire we film all over the UK though mainly cover local areas like Liverpool, Wirral (where I got married), Manchester, Cheshire and Staffordshire.

I can't believe we only wanted a video for Dad!
We watched the film about 4 times back to back on Wednesday night and again tonight. I haven’t emailed before now because I was looking for the right words…. and I’m still not sure I have got them. You, and the film, are incredible. We have cried every time. We are both filling up now as I type. We absolutely love it and feel like you have captured our day in the most wonderful way. Looking back, I can’t believe we only wanted a video for dad…. and I am so glad you were there while I was getting ready. I actually look comfortable in front of the camera!! You know I was adamant I didn’t want to be videoed but as soon as I saw you filming Marella it became massively important to me to capture those moments and for Ian to see them too. The two camera approach in church was an absolute winner. It’s something we will watch time and again. We haven’t shared the highlights with many yet but the feedback was a universal “wow” and some complaints about the impact on eye make up whilst watching! I’m so glad we found you and went with our guts. You are worth every penny, an absolute angel and I have been singing your praises.

Picking you was the best decision we made....
I honestly don’t know where to start with thanking you. From the moment we got in touch, right through to the very last lovingly wrapped parcel we received from you, you’ve been amazing. You’ve made the whole process feel wonderful. Without question, picking you for our wedding filming was our best decision throughout all of our wedding (as well as a greeting to marry each other of course). You’ve provided us with memories to last a lifetime, moments of laughter, tears and joy that not even a picture could capture. Getting to hear all of our vows again and the speeches took us right back to that special day, and I can’t wait to show it to as many friends and family as possible. You’ve felt more like a friend to us throughout all of this, offering support and ideas. And letting us go at our own pace (which I’m sure has been frustrating at times, with how busy we are with work). Ive told a few of my friends that have weddings coming up over the next few years that they MUST have a wedding video and if they do they MUST pick you. When our final parcel arrived from you, so delicately wrapped, the lovely casing for the DVDs and the little movie treat ?, it’s just reconfirmed once again why we picked you. And we are very lucky to have found you. Thank you once again. I really hope our paths cross again in the future. Lots of love Mr & Mrs Twiname xx

One word...Perfect!
Oh Charlene!! One word...Perfect! I'm sat here so emotional watching it. It has far exceeded expectations, it's so beautiful and such a lovely keepsake of such a special day. I don't think I have the words to thank you properly for capturing this for us. This will be a much treasured film. You've captured Charlotte and all her little mannerisms just perfectly too! (The song does fit perfectly!!) I'm so pleased Charlotte has her own Love Gets Sweeter film, we are building a little collection! I'm going to watch it (again!) now. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Charlene is approachable and professional. You are fun and took on board all my demands!
I did have concerns regarding cost but having spoken to people and researched a lot on the internet it seemed to be the one thing that was a real necessity. Following actually booking and seeing videos it was absolutely the best choice and a clear keepsake for the future. Charlene is approachable and professional. You are fun and took on board all my demands and really captured the essence of the day. You worked to my agenda whilst utilising your experience and your side kick was fabulous! I also realised as I’ve said before that picking the right people/vendors to be part of your day is so important. Nobody wants to spend all day with someone they don’t like or trust.

What is your most memorable wedding?

I have so many! In my first year the most memorable was Cristina and Mp's up in Aviemore, Scottish Highlands. After our epic 6.5 hour drive and wonderful overnight stay looking at the snow topped mountains I arrived to a perfectly peaceful bridal prep at the Bride's parents. My assistant however had a different story to tell which involved semi naked men, a boozy cake and lots of silliness. It's why when it came to the edit one song screamed out to me...you have to watch the film to know what I mean but it is perfect for showing off how different they both are yet how perfectly suited they are too! https://lovegetssweeter.co.uk/its-an-oh-so-quiet-anniversary/ I do remember all the fun stuff. The laughter, the cheeky bum squeezes and being 'in' on the jokes during the morning. It's what makes wedding so personal and real. I LOVE everything about them!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed, Honest, Fun, Personal, Friendly

What about your business are you most proud of?

My experience (10 years is pretty impressive) and the passion for a great customer experience. It's what makes me so different from everyone else because I put so much of myself in to every aspect of the business, from that first email right through to designed and creating the final wedding DVD.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Take time out together on your wedding day. It really does go so fast so having a few points in the day to sneak off together is a great way to 'pause' the day a little and let is sink in better so you avoid that next day feeling of forgetting it all (though a wedding video will help with remembering!)

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Anything personal is what can make a wedding. From cute childhood photos for place names (one bride and groom did that for every single guest and it was a real talking point!) to writing their own vows (like we did for our wedding, always gets me emotional!)....there's so many opportunities to make your wedding day your own.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I'm there to help! From the first message, email and/or phone call. I always encourage a pre-wedding chat in person if we can, to go over the plans for the day and allow you to ask any questions you may have too! On the day I'm all about the friendly, discreet approach to help you and your guests relaxed. However, I'm always on hand to jump in and help if it's needed. From buttonholes and helping things run to time, I've even been found sewing bridesmaids in to dresses thanks to my handy bag of random tools! The personal approach goes through to the editing and your final collection of films as I help you work out what you'd love to relive from your day in a really flexible approach to packages. You can choose to add things on AFTER the wedding due to us filming the full day regardless, I realise a lot of the time it's only once we've lived the wedding we know what would be amazing to watch back!

What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?

Whatever I manage to capture that doesn't quite make the highlights film gets saved for the Outtakes! On our own wedding DVD that proved to be the most popular because you forget how funny the day actually is, with people doing silly things and forgetting your there to fluffing the speeches or nearly knocking the cake over...

What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?

Singin' in The Rain. A favourite. I love all the amazing little details that went in to filming old Hollywood movies like creating the holes in the road for Gene Kelly's famous choreography!

What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?

Every wedding has it's own soundtrack, I think that's what makes it such a personal choice! I always ask for suggestions but it's not until I've lived the day myself and watched it unfold in front of my camera that I know what track will work perfectly. It needs to set the mood for the day, bring those emotions (be it happy/excited/fun/romantic/heart-warming/cute/laid-back) flooding back and be that song that will always remind them of their amazing day...

Describe how you got into videography.

I worked in film and TV so it was only right I had my own wedding filmed. I used my contacts and had some professional cameramen friends help out so I could edit it myself. It took a while but once I'd finished it, wowed my husband (who was anti wedding video) as well as our family and friends I was soon getting people asking if I could do theirs. You can read more about how it all began on my website here http://lovegetssweeter.co.uk/about-me
